The Secret Element Wolf

Chapter 2

    Trees and rocks are surrounding Blaze and I as we walk quietly to the clearing where we will begin our test.

     "Are you nervous?" I heard Blaze say. "No." I reply "I feel fine." Blaze nods. "I feel fine too." She says to me.

    As we walk another 30 minutes in silence, Blaze says the one question I never want to hear "What pack are you hoping for?" I sigh "I don't know" I reply. "Well let's talk about the packs and see which one fits you best!" Blaze yipped happily. "Now tell me about the packs."

     I growl in my mind and then say "There's the pack of the Flowers, they express kindness and peace." I laugh a bit. "I don't think that's my kind of pack" Blaze giggles. "Yeah" she agrees.

     "How about the pack of Rising Flames?" Blaze says. I immediately stop walking and glare at Blaze. "What?" she asks me. I shake my head and start walking again.

     Blaze and I walk in silence until we reach the clearing for the test. We brake into a run and go to the middle of the clearing where everyone is at. Blaze is right beside me. 

     The alphas walk into the clearing, we all become quiet. I am amazed on how big they are, but then I realize, I'm about the same size as them, strange.

     The wolf I tackled this morning comes up to speak. I wonder what pack he is the next alpha for.

     "Welcome, I'm Conner, today you all will take your test. The alphas and I will watch your testing and decide what pack you belong in. If you fail the test you will become a rouge." He said. "You will have three test. We will test your speed, strength, and intelligence."

     "You are so going to pass" I hear Blaze whisper in my ear. "You too" I whisper back. 

     "All wolves line up into two rows!" Conner's husky voice boomed threw the air. 

     Blaze and I quickly got into two lines, we weren't even close to each other at all. I sigh, I don't like being by wolves I don't know.

     I looked to the line next to mine. I see a water wolf over there. I guess she will be my enemy in this test. 

     "Speed is your first test. You will run and grab an item. There are traps blocking your way. You have to come up with a way to get around the traps, you also try to beat the wolf beside you." Conner said. 

     I watch the wolves in front of me go, everyone of them has come back with a cut. I watch and watch and finally I'm next. "Next wolves go!" Conner's voice filled my ears and with that I'm off running. 

     I run threw the field until I find many things layed out. They all look familiar but one piece, it looked like birch wood, we have no birch tress here, it must of been from very far away.

     I pick up the wood and start running back, a wolf jumps out in front of me. I growl and say "Move" he laughed and said "No." 

     I jump into his side and with my claws I scratch his stomach, blood surrounds my claws. He howled in pain.

     I grabbed my wood and ran back to the clearing, the alphas stare at me. They didn't expect me to attack. 

     I walk to where the wolves that finished stage one were. In five minutes the water wolf was back, she was covered with scratches. 

     "Next wolves go!" I hear Conner's voice. I look up, Blaze was against against a flower wolf. They both broke into a run. 

   Blaze runs off leaving a trail of fire behind her, she is way to excited for this.

     After five minutes Blaze returns, she drops her item and then comes back to where I'm standing. Her opponent returns covered in blood. 

     "Blaze, what did you do?" I say cautiously, "Um, my opponent was being an ass." She replied. I stare at Blaze and she stares back and then we both fall to the ground laughing. 

     We finally stop laughing and get up. When everyone returns Conner comes up to speak. "Most of you have done very well" He looks at me. "Your second test will begin tomorrow, you may rest and eat." 

     Blaze and I run to the kill pile. We grab a deer and drag it away to a spot not occupied by any wolves.

     "Hey Blaze, I need to ask you something." I say to Blaze. "Yes Kiyiya?" She replies. "What pack are you going for?" I ask.

     She doesn't reply for a few seconds but then says,  "I think the Night Star Pack. Do you think its a good pack for me?" 

     I stared at her and then said "Of course your perfect for that pack! You have everything they want!" 

     "Thanks Kiyiya I needed to hear that" she says happily.

     "Your welcome." I say with a laugh. I look up at the sky it was getting dark.  "I'm tired, good night. " 

      I lay down in a soft part of the grass in the clearing and curl up into a little ball and fall asleep.
