The Secret Element Wolf

Chapter 4

     I slowly open my eyes and look around. Today, I will choose my pack from my test results. 

     I walk over to where Blaze is and whisper in her ear, "Get up" She opens her eyes, jumps up and knocks me down. "Today is the day!!" She barked happily. I laugh and stand up, my fur now covered in mud. 

     "Sorry" she says laughing. I giggle a bit more and then walk to the kill pile. I grab a fish and walk over to a spot unoccupied my any other wolves.

     I eat my fish, making sure I don't eat any of the tiny bones and then I walk over to where some of the other wolves are waiting, Blaze quickly catches up with me.

     When everyone is finally waiting together, the alpha for The Night Star Pack, comes up to speak. "Hello, I'm Knight, today the alphas and I have chosen packs for most of you! Some of you wolves will become rouges, I will name those wolves off now."

     I look at Blaze and she looks back, we both don't want to be rouges.

     "Alicia, Colin, Lupus, Susie, and Kurt. I'm sorry, but you wolves are now rouges." 

     Those wolves tucked in their tails and ran toward the woods. Relief went threw me.

    "The rest of the wolves here, congrats! You all fit into a pack! The alphas and I will tell you which pack you fit into best. I will take a few of you at a time, the wolves coming with me first are, Kiyiya, Blaze, and Midnight. 

     Blaze, Midnight, and I walk up to the alpha and follow him to where the rest of the alphas are waiting.  

     "Greetings!" Conner says.  "Congrats on passing your test, you all did very well, we will tell you separately which pack you fit in best. Kiyiya your first." 

     Blaze and Midnight leave for a moment and I turn my head toward the alphas. Knight speaks first, "I want you, you did very well." Then Conner's turns his head and says "We want you too, you showed much bravery in your test. The alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack then says, "No, she belongs with us, she is very smart!"   

     I stared at the alphas, they all wanted me, except the Pack of The Flowers. I need to make a decision.

     "I-I choose the Pack of the Rising Flames." I say nervously. Conner smiles and says "A very good choice, come with me." 

     I follow Conner and he says "Wait here, other wolves will be coming soon." 

     I wait patiently and then see Blaze walk over to where I am, she had a happy look on her face. "I got the Night Star Pack she barks happily. "What did you get!?"

      "The Pack of Rising Flames." I say, her happy face turns into a mad one, "What? You said you didn't like that pack. You should of joined The Night Star Pack!" She says in a fierce tone.

     I growl at her and reply "Why the hell do you care? Why are you telling me what to do?"

    She then backs up and says, "Well then, I see how it is. This isn't over!" She then walks away.

     Fear goes threw me body, I just snapped at my friend, I don't even know if she is my friend anymore.

     As hours pass everyone is finally waiting. The alphas come and we have to follow our new leader to their territory. 

     As I am following Conner, I look to my right and I see a white and blue wolf face in the forest, right when I see it, it's gone. 

   As I walk and think about that face, a black and blue wolf with wings comes to my side, Midnight.

    "Hey, how are you? I'm so glad to meet you!" She barks happily. I look at her slightly annoyed, she should be in the Pack of the Flowers. "What do you want?" I say back.

     She doesn't say anything and I feel slightly guilty. "Sorry" I say to her. "It's fine." She replies. "I'm Kiyiya." I say flatly. "Your Midnight right?" "Ya" she replies.

    Midnight and I walk for hours just talking, she was from the Pack of Flowers, she has a brother and she likes making friends. I really don't know why she is in this pack, but there must be a reason.

     When we finally arrive at the camp, Conner tells us that we can pick a den and get settled. I run to a den that is by a lake, Midnight gets the one beside me. "Let's eat!" I bark happily, Midnight laughs and follows me to the kill pile.

    We grab a deer and pull it to a spot that was not occupied my wolves and began eating. While I eat I turn my head and look into the forest. Their was that blue and white face again, but when I looked at it, it disappeared.

    I shake my head and eat another bite, when I'm finally full I wall over to my den, I look up it was getting dark and the moon was almost full.

    I walk into my den and curl up and look at the sky again, there was a star that was brighter then the rest, I whine and fall asleep thinking of Blaze.
