Thanks to The Bad Day

Last night
You broke my heart again
I tucked myself in bed
Thinking of our silent fight
Memories and assumptions flooding
Into the cracks of my heart
Sobbing as quiet as possible
As i drift myself to sleep

This morning
My alarm didn't go off
I missed the bus
Was kicked out of the class
And to top it all
It was examination day
So, i went to a coffee shop
Hoping to chill myself out of this mess
Iced coffee, no sugar
And boy, how i regret that decision
Too bitter

I walked out of the shop
Strolling down the road thinking
How bad could this day be?
And halfway home
Sun sets
Road lights glowing
In the midst of the omnious evening
The night breeze caressing my nape
And realization hit me
The day went so bad that
I have forgotten about you
For a moment there
Our fight was not the worst thing
For a moment there
My heart was not broken
This bad day has distracted me
From you

As i reached the doorknob
The feeling of nostalgia came back
In the shower
I think of the happiest moments
And the saddest
In my empty bedroom
Loneliness hits me
No notification for today either
So i tucked myself in bed
Thinking of our silent fight
Memories and assumptions flooding
Into the cracks of my heart
Sobbing as quiet as possible
As i drift myself to sleep
