Lucifer X Me Fanfic

I'm fine

I awoke on a familiar bed but it wasn't mine.

It was Lucifer's? I sat up and immediately fell back down again from an exqrusiating pain in my back.

"O-ow!!"
I rolled onto my stomach so I didn't lie on the source of the pain.

I felt someone get on the bed beside me but couldn't see who.

"L-Lucifer?"

"Yes darling?"

It hurt so much. But I didn't want to tell him. He had quite clearly done enough. He saved my life. He doesn't need to worry about the extra pain.

"Nothing.." A tear streamed down my face.

I felt like I was forgetting something... I said something... I don't know what.

"Detective, our job is to uncover stuff yes? So why are you covering something up?"

I felt him touch my back and I winced in pain and flinched.

"Oh. I see. You're in pain..."

"N-no I'm not! I'm fine!"

He picked me up and turned me to face him, making sure I didn't touch my back on anything..

I blushed deeply being so close to his face.

He smirked. "Detective. I have a query."

"Yes?"

"When I was walking into the room I heard you say my name. That was normal I guess but you said something else. You said 'Lucifer, if I don't see you again I just want to say.. I love you'. Is that true?"

"I'll answer if you answer my question. Did you kill that man?"

"He got what he deserved. Now your turn. Did you mean what you said?"

"Yes... I meant it. I thought I was never going-" I winced in pain "-To see you again."

And then I did something I never thought I'd do.

I kissed him.
