The kidnapper left.

Lucifer had anger boiling up inside him. He had changed his mind. He went to go after him.

"L-Lucifer don't!" I winced because for some reason my rib was hurting now.

He turned to look at me. His anger lowered until it was completely gone. The whole time he looked at me.

He walked over slowly and knelt down. His permanent smile seemed to disappear.

"I... I'm sorry I wasn't there... I should have been... I'm so sorry.." His voice was faltering. I didn't like it.

"Lucifer. I-If you weren't there he would have killed me. But thanks to you I got away with living."

Lucifer looked shocked. He tried to gather himself.

"Thank you Lucifer..."

If I know one thing about Lucifer, it's that he doesn't take 'thank you' very well.

"Well. *Exhale* it's okay I guess." He smiled at me. There it was. His smile.

He stayed with me until night. Whenever a doctor came in to say visiting hours were over, he would 'persuade' them to let him stay.

He stayed until I fell asleep and stayed even then.

He heard me say something in my sleep... It was quite embarrassing.
