"Lorrddd another lame day at Lameton High. Lame people, lame teachers, lame everything." Alex grumbled under his breath as he force his legs to drag him towards the entrance of Middleton High School. One flick of my finger at one of the walls and the whole school would crumble down to dust, older and worse than pops back at home, at least he can cook. This dumpster gave me nothing but misery!
He never really liked the idea of studying and socializing around people that he never cared about, too bad that's what school's all about, no?
"I wish there will be a miracle happening today, like an alien invasion." Alex said with his hands up in the air, somehow a gleam of desperation flashed in his eyes. He can't even process the thought of rotting in class later, just sitting and not understanding a single thing the teacher is teaching infront. It feels like a waste of his youth.
"Imagine those slimy green dudes flashing one of those MIB sticks to our face before they mutilate us! Dude I would gladly offer myself as a lab rat for any alien experiments, only if that means I can skip school and get cool superpowers. " Alex sighed in dejection as his tone visibly flatten, realizing that everything he just said didn't even make any sense.
Dale, Alex's only close friend chuckled lightly and replied with a deep, rich voice. "Really Alex? If they did capture you, I bet the aliens will return you back within a few minutes in, you're so bratty even aliens can't handle your ass."
Alex giggled while nudging Dale's arm, "you're one to talk, imagine if the alien kidnapped YOU instead, they'll have a hard time experimentin' on you since you literally have no soul. Imagine if they covered you for their alien newspapers, a breakthrough for generations to come : A human with heart harder than mercury itself."
Dale grinned awkwardly, as if he's about to laugh but instead of laughing, he let out a small, slow sigh. "...Alex, you know Mercury is liquid metal, right?"
Alex scratched the back of his head." Isn't Mercury a planet?"
Dale smacked his forehead, hard.
That's not even the kind of Mercury we're talking about.
But talking about Dale being unresponsive is true though since most of the time, he couldn't get the humor or meanings behind all these teen jokes and trends.
Dale always thought the jokes and humors are too 'underdeveloped' meanwhile the trends are too much and strange for his liking. This always made Dale feel isolated since not many of his schoolmates wants to be around him since he's "boring" and "plain".
That always made him wonder ; how did someone like Alex could get along with him so well?
BANG! CRASH! BANG!
a loud banging sound disrupted Dale from his silence.
Alex is casually kicking trash cans that is on his path as he's making his way to class, denting them in the process.
There's a few irritated glance thrown at Alex as he amble his way through the hallway, but Alex brushed it off by lifting his middle finger as he walks past the students.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the devil himself. What did the trashcans do to you this time?" A student approached Alex and Dale with a notebook, clearly annoyed.
He does a double take on Alex's messy ensemble and jotted something down on his notebook. "You can't get attention from people so now you're getting attention from trash cans? Hm, fitting." The student shrugged his shoulder
