Red pulled away from her daughter and turned to face her. She used her thumbs to wipe the tears from Nicky's cheeks.

''you were so happy earlier. What happened to change that?''

'I tried again. We kissed. I know she feels it but she keeps denying it. I can't be here anymore. Not now she's back' Nicky responded through muffled sobs and hiccups.

''you made it this long. I can't imagine she's here very long, probably a couple of months only. I know it's hard but I don't think you should give up on her yet. One day, she'll realise''

'I dunno Ma'

''I do''

Nicky was going to beg her. That girl whose name she doesn't even know has probably told everyone about her failed attempt to fuck her and that she ran away crying, so her reputations over. What else has she got to loose. Nicky got up running back inside towards the newbie dormitory pulling Lorna off the bunk and dragging her towards the chapel. Looking Lorna straight in the eye she got onto her knees and began to cry.

'Please don't do this Lorna. I know you feel what I feel. Imagine we could marry in a chapel much nicer than this. I can show you the work just please be honest with yourself and me. I know you can't lie to me so I want you to look me directly in the eye and tell me you don't love me' Lorna crouched in front of Nicky resting her hands on her shoulders.

''I love you. but I'm married I need to commit to Vinnie and Carmine he needs both of us not two moms''

'if he needs both of you why are you back here' Lorna realised now. she's given everything up for Nicky. She really loved this woman. Her head was in a war. She has to stay with Vinnie v people get divorced all the time.

''fuck this'' Nicky looks up as Lorna crashes her lips into Nicky's pulling her as close to her as humanly possible. it was delicate and full of love because Lorna had finally excepted her feelings.

'no, no. I can't do this again' Nicky violently shook her head as more tears fell. Lornas heart broke for the woman. she caused this pain by leading her on then shutting her down.

''I'm done with Vinnie, all I want is you Nicky. I love you honey'' Lorna pulled the ring off her hand and held it up to Nicky.

''Marry me. I know this isn't what you want but they don't exactly have a ring shop in prison'' Lorna started blabbering on about something Nicky wasn't paying attention to. She sat analysing the brunettes features as though she were seeing it for the first time. The woman she had spent the last god knows how many months confessing her love for is finally confessing that those feelings are returned.

'No I want to do this the prison way, c'mon kid' she pulled her girlfriend up and took her to this dining room and told her to wait outside the kitchen. it was empty besides for Norma. she took the foil and rolled it into a crappy shaped ring before going back out to Lorna. Norma followed the wild haired girl out to see what was going on. Nicky got down on one knee holding her makeshift ring up to Lorna.

'I know this looks shift but I don't want either of us wearing a ring from Vinnie' Lorna laughed at how jealous her girlfriend could be.

'I love you Lorna Morello, no longer fucking Muccio. I never thought I'd ever get the opportunity to do this and I'm so happy I survived the overdose. Will you marry me?'

''yes, yes, yes'' Lorna began to cry and threw her arms around Nicky's neck. They kissed until they were split by CO Bell.

'Thought you were married Morello'

''was'' Norma came and hugged her family. Lorna didn't know she could be so happy in prison. she had Nicky, her family. then the realisation hit her. what does she do about Vinnie and Carmine? she tried to push the thought away to concentrate on Nicky.

'I'm gonna go tell Ma and Vause if I can find her' Nicky kissed her fiancée on the cheek before running off towards the greenhouse where Red was last.

Lorna turned to Norma. 

'I'm so happy Norma but what do I do about my husband?'
