I finished a bouquet of flowers and set them on the display.

"So this guy?" Jessie asked. "It's been months and you've not said anything which could be really good or really bad."

I smiled and shook my head. "Things are.. good."

"Why hesitate?! What's to hesitate about?"

"Just some matters we are dealing with."

Like hunting down the killer who actually is a crazy shape shifter oh and the Hunters on top of that. But no biggie.

"So when can I meet him?"

I shrugged. "I'm not sure, he's not too big on meeting people."

"But he met you-"

I shrugged.

"Please tell me he isn't ugly-"

"No... definitely not ugly," I noted.

"Well fine, you keep your relationships secret. However my boyfriend is selling his loft apartment, which is a shame because I loved it. It's huge, and got a great view."

"Why's he leaving?"

"Just wants something different."

I thought for a moment. "Hey do you think I could come look at it?"

"You in need of an apartment?"

"No, but um-"

"Your boyfriend?" Jessie asked, her eyebrows raised.

"Yeah."

"Sure I don't see why not. You can come around six thirty."

"Great."

I finished work early and head to Derek.

"Hey," I said, walking down the stairs to the subway. "How about dinner and I think I may have found you a place to stay," I finished with a smile, jamming my hands in my pockets and waiting for his answer.

He raised his eyebrows at me. "You found me a place?"

"Well my friend Jessie mentioned her boyfriend was selling and I know you were looking for a place. Come on, one night just the two of us, on an actual date... unless you didn't want- I mean if we aren't boyfriend and girlfriend- I mean-" I stumbled and rambled.

"Shouldn't I be asking you out on a date?"

"Well then ask me."

"Lizbeth, would you like to go out and see this apartment?"

I smiled. "I'd love it, but we are taking your car. Oh and you may need your jacket."

Derek looked back and then back at me eyebrows raised.

"Maybe I like seeing you wearing it," I answered, poking his shoulder.

He raised his eyebrows again, a faint smile on his lips.

We headed out and grabbed some shakes and then headed to the apartment.

We walked up to the loft apartment and I knocked on the door.

Jessie opened it and she smiled at me then she noticed Derek and her mouth almost dropped but she kept her composure and let us in.

She then grabbed my arm and dragged me to a corner.

"You did not tell me you are dating Derek Hale!" She whispered.

"I'm dating Derek Hale?" I said, confused. "What does it matter? I just told you he needed an apartment."
