I quickly called Scott as I picked up the empty shells.
"Hello?" He asked, groggy. I had woken him.
"Meet me at the clinic, bring Stiles and Lydia."
I hung up and grabbed the kids and drove to the clinic and walked in using the spare key.
The three arrived and all looked at me with question.
"It's Derek. And Kate."
"Kate's dead," Stiles said.
"I'm sure it was her."
"You're positive?"
I looked at the three. Maybe I was wrong. I was still high on adrenaline.
"I don't know," I answered.
I placed the shells on the table. "So I sent a picture of it to Deaton. He said that it's the mark of a family of hunters based out of Mexico. The Calaveras."
"What would they want with Derek?" Lydia asked.
"You don't think they killed him, do you?" Stiles asked and I bit my lip and shrugged, readjusting Erik on my hip.
"I... I don't know. That's why I asked for Lydia to come."
Lydia took the shells and held them for a moment before letting them all fall to the table.
"Lydia, what?" Scott asked.
"Is he dead?" Stiles asked.
I held my breath.
"No."
I let out the breath I been holding, relaxing.
"But I'm not sure he's alive either," Lydia added.
I tensed up again.
"What does that mean?" Stiles asked.
"I don't know. There's something not right. I just... I don't know."
"So if the Calaveras have him, how do we find them?" Stiles asked.
"Mexico," Scott answered. "It'll take some time though, something tells me they aren't going to be that easy to find."
I nodded. It was something though.

It had been almost seven months.
Seven long months.
We had gotten some information of the Calaveras here and there and little things but they definitely weren't wanting to be found.
In that time I helped until it got closer to my due date. Issac left Beacon Hills, too many bad memories and I understood. I had once been him and one day knew and hoped he'd be back. Scott and Stiles were training Malia a werecoyote.
I then had Derek's and I's daughter.
We hadn't even discussed names.
So I hoped he wouldn't hate the name Adalie Talia Hale.
And now I was alone, wondering if my husband was dead or alive, with two kids under the age of five and a newborn with colic.
I couldn't remember the last time I slept.
Tonight was no different up all night with a crying baby, I've tried every remedy that was online and nothing worked.
Most nights I ended up crying with her.
I was pacing the room as she cried and heard the phone.
"Hello?" I answered.
"We found him! The clinic!" Scott said.
