Chapter one

Quinn's p.o.v

It wasn't a dream, it was reality. I could still hear myself laughing when i was drunk that night. I missed it when everything was officially okay, Oscar is still locked up and Ryan left again. No sign of his psychopath uncle either.

I woke up with huge headache on my right temperal lobe, it was saturday morning, a day before school started again and i kinda was ready for Junior year. I could smell the burning bacon down stairs and hear the kids running around the back yard chasing each other with water guns.

I don't suppose i have a choice to go back to bed because once i'm awake, i'm awake and theirs no going back." Wake up sleepy head!" My mother bolts into my room shouting like if i'm a five year old ready to go to disney land, well this isn't disneyland and sadly i'm not five.

"you really need to stop doing that, it's 7 in the morning." I held my head, sitting up on my bed still half a sleep squinting my eyes as the rays fromt the sun snuck in my room while the curtains opened." it's not 7, it's 12 in the afternoon, i'm making breakfast now because i just came home a few minutes ago from the gym, and my little coffee date with Luke."

I rolled my eyes and threw my body back to bed, i wasn't ready to meet him. Yeah i don't like my dad but he's still my dad, and seeing my mom fool around was the only thing i was okay and not okay with at the same time, but i'm finally happy to see her settle down and i don't wanna ruin that for her.

"come on! you have to fix your sleeping scheduele it is not healthy for a sixteen year old to be staying up all night calling her boyfriend till 5 in the morning and sneaking out the window to sleep with him either, i'm not okay with it either, your grounded," She smiled and walked out of the room.

Seems like every year i start off being grounded, i'm not suprised at all.

Life hasn't been too terriable yet, i still have Zamoria, Joey, Hunter, Vincent, and the others, but it's been a little dull with Marceline out of the picture. We haven't hung out with Dylan since, we still talk to him but he deeply misses Marceline and he always busy now that he's a senior and seniors are always busy with graduating and stuff.

I sat down in front of Zamoria and held my chai latte and a toasted krossiant, taking bits out of it." so your like grounded now?" I nodded my head taking another bite." yup, i can not leave the house after 7 and i can't see Vincent, only during school hours." 

We went to a small bakery by my house we figured out during the summer." that sucks." She shrugged her shoulders and sipped her caramel mocha." so enough about me, what's been up with you and Hunter, you guys are still dating aren't you?" I asked.

"yeah yeah we are, we patched things up and were being serious now, no more games. He gave me a promise ring and i accepted," she smiled holding out her hand, their sat a beautiful pale pink ring, like mine only much more prettier." i'm so happy for you guys, and that ring is so cute." She mouthed thanks.

"so, everything from last year is behind us right?" i asked." yeah, seems like yesterday all of it happened. I can't believe it either, but this year is a new beginning and were juniors now, it means we really have to get our shit together and have the time of our lives, no matter what comes a cross us."

"cheers to that!" i smiled.

Zamoria was right, there was no way i couldn't let anything get passed me, passed us. But i couldn't help it, my life was totally falling apart and as for new beginings i could agree on those terms.

The bell door rang from the cafe, and just as we were hoping for new beginings the most strangest thing happened, i never expected to see that person, especially not since school. I tapped on zamoria's shoulders and both of our widen." what is she doing here?" she asked.
