"THANKS!" Mackenzie said to her driver, hopping out of the black limo while Johnny trailed behind her.
"So, where are you taking me Orlando?" Mackenzie asked him, crossing her arms.
"So I know you probably were thinking more eventful, but I really wanted to help you." Johnny said laughing.
"What do you mean?" Mackenzie asked, unsure of where he was taking her.
"Welcome to Los Angeles Library!" Johnny joked jazz hands which made Mackenzie laugh hysterically.
"Dork!" She yelled. "You're a fucking dork!"
"Shut up, I brought you to a library to prepare for your audition instead of other things I had in mind for us to do..." Johnny smirked.
"Oh damn.." Mackenzie said holding her breathe. "Other things?"
"Maybe if this goes well, you'll find out soon enough." Johnny said staring down her body.
"Fuck off!" She screeched slapping his arm and then smiling. "You flatter me way too much."
"It's a boyfriend's job." Johnny said laughing. Mackenzie froze at the word. They never were officially dating, therefore the word seemed to shock her.
"And speaking off.. I'm hereby being the dorkiest dork by asking you out in the library. Mackenzie Ziegler, do you want to be my girlfriend?" Johnny asked her, his eyes filled with hope.
"Uh... I guess." She joked hugging him tightly. "Of course!" She added.
After an hour and a half of studying, they exited the library, Mackenzie fully prepared for her audition. The two started walking down a boulevard, filled with shopping malls and people. Johnny took Mackenzie's hand, rubbing it with his thumb. As they walked, people began whispering, pointing, and clearly paying attention to them, which made Johnny loosen his grip.
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it." Mackenzie laughed, pulling his hand closer to her with a tight grasp.
"Sorry, it's just so weird to me. Like how do you not ever want to, you know, escape? This shit is crazy." Johnny exclaimed, turning his head to see the countless people building up a crowd behind them.
"I mean sometimes I can't... and I told you, that's why I went to Seattle. And some part of me thinks that being here with you helps me forge-"
"OH MY GOSH HI!" a voice interrupted. "I'm your BIGGEST fan Kenzie. Can I please take a picture with you?" A blonde girl exclaimed, jumping up and down.
"Sure!" Mackenzie smiled, posing for the girl's selfie.
"Now can we become best friends?" the girl asked, pupils growing wide.
"What do you mean-" Mackenzie started in confusion. It was a weird question.
"Like you and Johnny are dating now and he was just a fan! Clearly you accept anyone to become part of your life! So can I be your best friend?" the girl asked once more.
"I mean that's not- sure," Mackenzie said, pulling Johnny away from the girl and quickly waving to her before running off to an empty street with Johnny.
"Hey I'm sorry about that..." Mackenzie started, seeing Johnny's unbreakable stare to the ground. "You know that's not true..." She started.
"No Kenzie, it fucking is true." Johnny said. "It doesn't matter how much we hang out, I'll always be an outsider to your life. It's so different than mine. And I'll always be seen by everyone as a fan of you, because you know what? That's what I was when we met. Just like the girl said, you're Mackenzie Ziegler, you're suppose to have standards and not just let anyone in your life. Yet somehow I'm ruining yours" Johnny said, his voice breaking.
"Johnny you know you're everything to me. The only person it should matter to is you and me... I don't care where you're from or where I'm from..." Mackenzie started.
"I just feel like no matter what I do, I won't be enough for you." Johnny said.
"You are more than enough for me." Mackenzie said simply. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and leaned in to kiss him on the cheek.
"I love you." She whispered into his ear, so quiet that he almost didn't hear her. The simple eight letter phrase sent chills throughout his body, hearing the words from the person he loved the most.
"I love you more." He said, pushing her hair aside. He kissed her gently, the world behind both of them melting away, so that the only people there were the two of them.
"You're right." Johnny said smiling.
"I know," She responded jokingly, grabbing his hand to find the black limo so they could go to auditions.
