Chapter 1:
The Lost Mage
It was a normal day at Fairytail Guild. Everyone was busy doing their stuff. Cana Alberona, as usual, was drinking her barrel of liquor; Levy, on the other hand, was analyzing some book written in ancient language while her teammates, Jet and Droy were being scolded by Elfman; Bisca and Al were out doing their job request together; Nab was still hesitating in front of the request board; and Natsu and Gray, just to complete the Guild’s day, started a petty fight and ends up bruised, injured.
“Glad they already stopped their fight,” sighed Lucy.
“My, my. You’re still not used to it, Lucy?” asked Mirajane, giving her a warm smile.
“Yeah, you’re right. I should be immune to it by now,” said Lucy, slumping herself onto the table. “Day after day, they’d fight whenever they bump into each other’s nerves. It seems like their day won’t be complete unless they battle.”
“Well, at least they make this guild more alive. Right, Lucy?”
Mira left Lucy after saying that.
The blonde girl was still slouching on the table, brooding over Natsu and Gray’s irritating quarrels, and then suddenly, Natsu sat beside her. Sweat was reeking all over the pink-haired guy’s body, his heavy breathing, loud and clear in Lucy’s ears. The young lady laid her eyes on Natsu’s jaw where sweat was accumulating. The fluid slowly slid down the young man’s chin, down to his neck, then inside his vest. Lucy just stared at it go inside the boy’s top covering. She was caught in the most beautiful trance, but then, a husky voice broke it.
“Hey, Lucy! Why are you staring at me like that?” Natsu asked.
“What--- I--- it’s not--- you---,” Lucy stammered in shock.
“Huh? You’re so weird, you know that!” he exclaimed.
“Who are you calling weird??!!” the blonde yelled in annoyance.
Natsu just laughed at the young Heartfilia’s reaction. Just a moment, the fair-haired girl got swept by her friend’s laugh, and she herself giggled with the guy sitting beside her. After having a good laugh together, Lucy realized that something didn’t seem right. Someone’s missing. Happy was actually not around to tease her, to give some outrageous comments.
“Hey Natsu, Where’s Happy? I haven’t seen him around. It feels awkward, you know? Did something happen again between you two?” Lucy asked.
Natsu was silenced by the question. The young lady looked at him with troubled expression. ‘Something must have happened to them or did they have a serious fight’ were just some of the questions running inside Lucy’s mind.
Natsu’s dark green orbs met the blonde’s hazel brown orbs. With a serious tone, he said, “Happy’s gone”.
