Looking at that message I felt all of emotions flood out of me. I began crying like a maniac. My phone had fallen out of my hand screen down, hopefully it didn't break. But that would be the least of my stress right now.
Abby handed me my phone and she read the message. "Oh no, Nadia it'll be ok. I'll go talk to her. We're friends I can try and convince not to tell anyone ok." Abby then got up and practically ran back in the building.
Danny called my phone and I didn't want to answer it but he needed to know what was going on.
"Hey babe, where did you go I saw Abby run in here but not you? Why is she running by the way?" He needed to talk a breath so I can talk.
"Danny, Bailey knows she said she going to tell everyone." I barely got the words out through my sobs.
"Where are you?" He sounded so worried that it made me cry more. I stayed silent for a few seconds longer.
"Never mind Abby told me where you are. I'm coming now." Next thing I knew someone's hands were in my shoulders. I knew it was Danny so I just leaned into him.
"I think we should tell people we're a couple now."
"Yea your right my friends already know everything anyways. So it's really up to you I don't care what other people think now." My tears started to slow down.
"Ok we will later." He looked down at his phone. "Abby convinced Bailey to not tell anyone. Apparently now Bailey is throwing a big end of year party at our house since it has a nice pool."
"She really didn't need to do that, but I'm glad she did." Danny just wrapped his arms around me even tighter. "Danny I want to talk to your dad about this. He's a doctor he can help. There must be some way to know now."
"Ok we can today after school." I just nodded in response. "Do you just wanna skip the rest of the day?"
"Yes please so much." I turned my head to face him while saying this.
"Let's just go hang out at my house." I thought about how to get my bag from my locker without anyone noticing. I remembered I left it in the car today anyway.
"Can we go now or do you have stuff to do?"
"I'm gonna run in and grab my wallet and keys. I left them at the table inside. Want me to grab your stuff too?"
"Yes please." I said while pulling myself from him.
Danny's POV
I walked into the cafeteria and headed straight for my table."So Daniel who's 'Babe'?" My buddies asked when I was near the table.
"Don't worry about it you'll find out soon." They seemed content with this answer for now. Now to go to the really scary table. Come to on Danny their just girls you'll be fine. I walked with my head held high towards her table of friends. Madison noticed me and she didn't quite scowl at him but she definitely was not smiling.
"Hi. I need Nadia's stuff." I asked looking at the table for what looked like her belongings.
"And why would we give that to you?" A girl who I think was named Riley.
"She sent me for it. She's leaving and needs it." Madison at this point was just laughing at me watching me break under the pressure of these girls. I gave her a look pleading for help.
"Here just take it. This is sad to look at." She said while calming down her laughs. She gave me the stack of things that seemed very easily identifiable as Nadia's.
"She skipping. Can you just tell her teachers that she went home sick okay?" I said to Madison.
"Yup that's fine. Tell her to call me later." I nodded and turned back towards the courtyard. I texted my dad in the way out.
Danny- dad I need to come see u at ur office today
Boss man- ok? Is something wrong with you?
Danny- not me but yes. It will make more sense in person. Can I come after school?
Boss man- I have appointments then. I'm open in an hour. Can you leave school then?
Danny- Yes I'll work it out. Thank youI saw Nadia sitting in the bench I left her one. She seemed a lot calmer now.
" I talked to my dad. We can go in an hour. His office is like 20 minutes away so we have a little time to kill."
"Ok can we just go chill at your house still?" She said while grabbing her stuff from me. I grabbed her free hand and headed toward my car. I guess it worked out that I drove us today.
"Are you going to be ok skipping practice today?" She always put her worries aside for other people. It's a nice trait to have, but it must be so hard to be her with it.
"Yea it doesn't really matter in comparison to the situation." I said trying to be truthful but not hurtful.
"Yea I guess you're right. I'm just gonna take a nap ok" She said while meaning her head against the window. I just drove to my house in silence not wanting to wake her. I know she hasn't gotten much sleep the last few days and she really needs it.
When I pulled in the drive way she didn't wake up there was only 15 minutes now till we needed to go to my dad's office. I just let her keep sleeping. The 15 minutes passed so I pulled out and began driving there.
We were only about 10 minutes away and I figured Nadia would want some time to wake up. I gently pushed her to get awake.
"Huh what's going on?" She looked so cute rubbing her eyes. Focus Danny your driving.
"You were asleep so I let you sleep. But we're only 10 minutes from my dad's office. I thought you'd want them to wake up."
"Yeah I did. Thanks for letting me sleep." She pulled the mirror down and started fixing her hair from sleeping. "At leaf this isn't the first time I'm meeting him." I had forgotten they were home the one day she came over.
Before we knew it we were there just waiting in the parking lot. I got out of the car and opened Nadia's door for her. Hand in hand we both walked through the door.
