She had the the heart of a withered flower,
A one foreign to its own roots.
Such letters her eyes conveyed to me.
Yet I still with woollen threads intangled myself in her.

Such is the state that she will go and always leave me in.
Oh love look what you have made of me.
Her scent refuses to leave my nose,
A sharp voice begs me to stay.

My body no longer wishes to follow,
But what to do when my heart is already in cahoots with my soul.
Somehow my eyes still crave her sight.

The strings of her heart is delicate,
Without her it begins to cajole me
I had consoled my heart in many ways,
But today it still searches for her footsteps only.

My drum beats only to her tune,
It tries its hardest to cajole her.
It has made me know her truly,
Without doubt a weapon cannot harm my soul.

Fire cannot burn my love,
Neither can water wet my affection and the wind dry my sight of her.
My heart can never cheat me.
This I promise you.

ANALYSIS OF THE POEM

SUMMARY : TO MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND.

After what happened to the girl last night the friend visits her and when he steps inside her flat he knows that there is something wrong with her. He says that she looks like a dying flower losing its beauty and fragrance. He has tried without fail to ask her what keeps happening to her because every time he sees her it's like she becomes worse. He says that she is definitely not the woman he met a few weeks ago and that she has changed beyond recognition. Although she  doesn't want to tell him what's wrong her eyes tell him everything he needs to know. He wants to help and he seeks the help and advice of his heart. The heart then agrees to his commands that's what the heart has been waiting for since long. This way she would be his forever and she would know that she cannot stop the tune of love because his heart has chosen her as the beloved and him the lover. Even if she is feeling guilty and terrible the heart will make sure to give to her what she needs and deserves.

He says that even though she looks so frustrated she still looks beautiful and gorgeous. That no matter what happens to her she will not begin to imagine how she makes him feel. He feels bad that he just left her when she  needed him the most but assured her that he will never leave her side again. His body was already tired of the many sleepless nights he has had because of thinking about her and her safety. He couldn't stop because his heart kept him awake. He fought and won against the flesh because the heart knew that the wait wouldn't be long. When he was away he kept seeing himself go to her countless times. He says that her heart is so fragile and delicate that if he didn't come in time she would have died not because she had killed herself but because the veins holding her heart were too weak to hold on any longer. Now he is there and will never let anything happen to her and as for that guy who did this to her would someday pay for what he had done to her. He is moved by how much she trusts him to the point that he tells him each and every detail of what happened last night. She didn't think she would have the courage to tell him but she just found herself telling him anyway so she just told him the rest without the fear that he won't understand. Instead he is not angry at her but hugs her and tells her everything will be OK and that he understands the plight of love without fail.

By doing this she has made him her lover. He trusts her without doubt and wants to tell her that he loves her but the heart stops him again and advices him to let her heal from the pain another man has inflicted on her drowsy heart. His love for her is not materialistic, fire can't burn it away, water can't wash away the way he feels, and the wind cannot dry his love. His heart has promised him a everlasting gift and he refuses to be led astray by his own mind. Because even though the heart forced the mind to compile the mind also sought out ways to convince him by tiring his body and making his organs fail but at the end of the day the heart won and the mind was ultimately forced to compile to what the soul and the mind both wanted and that was love.
