It was the next morning, you and Elizabeth were the only ones in the tavern. She was trying to cook something as you sat on one of the benches in front of the counter.

"Hey Eli, where is everyone exactly?" You finally asked.

"Umm Escanor and Merlin never came back from their quest, so they should be on it. Sir-Meliodas just vanished yesterday after he went after you."

Oh, Meliodas, a flashback from yesterday starts to play on replay in your head, but you try to ignore it and focus on Eli.

"I'm starting to worry about him", she pauses, "oh well, I'm still sure his fine. King and Diane wandered off early this morning probably into the village and Ban thought he'd visit Elaine since we got time." She continued with a thoughtful expression.

"Oh, right", you respond as you feel your thoughts sinking, "wait isn't that girl pretty far from here?"

"I don't know exactly where she is, but Ban mentioned she's not at Fairy king's forest yet," Eli responds reasonably to you.

"Oh, right."

She smiles and continues what she's doing. You blankly start at something and think about yesterday.

How could I face him now?

*meanwhile somewhere in the village*

"Do you trust Captain, Diane." King suddenly asked from the giant in her human size form as she looked at the tasty fruits in some old man's stall.

She picked up a mango and with a kind smile turned to face her friend, "of course I do, don't you?"

He blushed a bit, but shook it away quickly and looked away, "honestly I don't know."

Diane seemed to ignore the concern in his voice and she picked up a honeydew in her other hand, "which one should I get?" She asked and turned her whole body into King's direction.

"Umm", he looked at the fruits in her hands, "the mango?"

She responded with a smile and turned back towards the old man, then she handed him some pennies and placed the mango carefully in her bag. They started walking forward.

"How come?" The girl asked from her floating fellow.

He was surprised at first, "you must mean the Captain thing?" He looked at her and she breezily nodded. "Anyway, you don't even have your memories quite back how can you be so sure?" The boy avoided.

"From what I remember something has convinced me there is no need to worry and I'm gonna trust that." Diane responded with a gentle sound in her voice, "after all even my memories gone somethings just don't seem to fade and right now they're all I have left." King's heart ached seeing Diane feeling guilt like that.

"I'm sorry King, sorry I didn't remember you and sorry I don't entirely remember you even now."

"Stop", the voice of King shocks Diane to quit her rant.

"In the first place I took away your memories, I'm no better than Gowther." The guilt seemed like directly transferred into King's shoulders.

"But it was different an- and I got them back right? Even though I can't remember that anymore..." The optimism ran out from her voice as she kept talking.

"It doesn't matter", they both walked along the streets the mood around them was super gloomy and both of them seemed to have fallen deep into their own thoughts, "perhaps we should head back," King spoke out.
