I felt a bit queasy when we made it to our destination. And here I was thinking that I'd gotten used to teleportation.
Becca turned to us with wide eyes. "How are you guys still alive?!"
Alex blinked. "Um...good to see you too Bec."
Becca shook her head. "THE Dorian Grey is hunting you four down?! Why didn't you all tell me sooner!?" She demanded.
"Maybe, because we found out after you dropped us off at the house." Victor said.
Becca ran a hand down her face, "Jesus Christ, you guys are either really smart, or really lucky."
"I want it to be the first one, but honestly it's probably the latter." Alex muttered.
"I'll bet!" Becca scolded. She rolled her eyes. "And being out in the streets is the most dangerous and stupid thing you can ever do. Dorian has eyes literally everywhere. It's a miracle you haven't been caught yet."
"So you've said." Evanora said
Becca sighed again and rolled her eyes. "Whatever. You guys can stay here and lay low for a while until I figure out what to do. I can't put you in another house. And you can't stay here for the rest of your lives. I'm not that good with permanent child care." She muttered the last bit and pointed behind her. It was then I realized that we must've been in her house.
"I have two extra rooms besides my bedroom. You guys might be able to find some of my ex's clothes still in my drawers. He never came back to get them." Becca said rolling her eyes again. "I might have something that can fit you girls in my drawers too." She narrowed her eyes as she looked us over. "I think it would fit."
"Thank you, Becca." Evanora grinned as she rushed off. I assumed that she was just happy to be in clothing other than the ones she was currently wearing and I was too, honestly.
Becca smiled softly and turned towards the living room. "I'm going to watch some television. Make yourselves at home."
I turned to go back to the bedrooms in search of a comfortable outfit to sleep in when Alex called out to me. I looked over at him curiously. "Hey, wanna be bunk-mates?"
I blinked, "Are you sure, because-"
"Relax, Snow White. I won't try anything. Besides, she never said anything about boys and girls sleeping in the same room." He raised an eyebrow questioningly.
I giggled a bit and rolled my eyes, "Okay, fine. I'll bite."
He draped an arm across my shoulder and I restedmy head down on his shoulder. "Good choice, babe."
