Alex's eyes met mine and he let out a muffled noise of surprise. It was then I saw Evanora behind him, gagged and bound with the magic muters.
Our friends!
Parker walked over to Alex and pulled off the gag. "Who the hell are you and how did you find us?" He hissed
"First off, we stumbled in here because it looked abandoned. It's an old fucking factory for crying out loud! We didn't hunt you down! Secondly, what the fuck are you doing with our friends?!"
Parker raised a brow before he turned to me and Victor. "These are the friends you were waiting on?" He scoffed. "They're pretty pathetic."
Alex practically growled. "Take off these muters and you'll see just how pathetic I can be!"
Parker chuckled. "This one has spunk. How cute."
"It'll be really cute when I launch my fist up your-"
"Okay, listen," Victor interrupted. "This was all just a big misunderstanding." He turned to Parker. "They just came here for us. If you'll let them go, then we'll be on our way."
Parker looked between me and Alex. I didn't really notice it, but I was staring at him.
Parker hummed. "You two are a thing?" He asked Alex, pointing at me.
"What's it to you?" Alex seethed.
Parker almost giggled. "Oh this is too cute! No wonder you didn't want to kiss me at first!"
Alex looked at me questioningly. "Kiss him? Hold on, what?"
"You're little girlfriend here is a loyal one, I'll give you that. But it's nothing a little thought warping couldn't fix." Parker smirked.
"Thought warping?" Victor asked curiously.
"You two," He pointed towards me and Victor, "Are exactly the type of Elementalist that I need in my crew. But you were so hell-bent of getting out of here as soon as possible. It took a lot of energy to get you to stay this long."
"Wait, so all this time... you've been messing with our minds?!" I asked.
Parker smirked at me. "Smart and cute. You got the whole package here."
I scowled. "That's disgusting!"
"That's life." Parker retorted. "You either get with the program or get trampled by it."
I felt the throwing knife solidify in my hand and I silently thanked myself for accepting Hira's targeting lessons. Without breaking eye contact with Parker, I tossed the knife towards the wall by the twins and ducked in fear, letting go of the ropes that bound Alex.
Before they had time to recover, Alex's hands engulfed in flames and he held them out threateningly. Victor morphed into a wolf and growled at Justin and Michael, who shrunk back a bit in fear
"You're going to regret ever crossing paths with us." I seethed.
Parker's ice blue eyes shifted to silver and he smirked. "We'll see."
