I chuckle softly while watching Chilly scarf down the food I had just spilled into his bowl. He's so cute and fluffy! I just want to squeeze him all day. I see SQUIP shake his head at me in the corner of my eye with a very light smile on his lips. I'm in a really good mood today. After all, I got the job I applied for, and I have a friend coming over for the first time in... You know what? I don't think I've ever had a friend over before. It's exciting! Right now, I'm basically just killing some time until Logan arrives to hang out for awhile and play video games. SQUIP suggested I ask him in order to strengthen our bond.
"So, we have the soda, the chips, the video games and the beanbag chairs. Everything seems to be all set. Everything must go perfectly today if you're going to get invited to that Halloween party."
Ah, yes, the Halloween party. One of Logan's friends are throwing it in their house, while their parents are out on an out-of-country business trip. Judging off of what I heard, everything will probably be spiked with either drugs or alcohol, which is not appealing to me in the slightest; in fact, it just makes me feel concerned for everybody there.
"Are you still worked up about that? I told you, I've got everything covered. We just need to find you a sexy costume, and you'll be all set."
"I'm just nervous. I've never been to a party like this before." I sigh softly and have a seat on my neatly made bed, while SQUIP stands in front of me. The supercomputer grabs my shoulders in a comforting hold, causing me to meet his vibrant eyes.
"Y/N, what have I told you about trusting me?" I groan and lean my head forward, pressing my head against my life coach's chest. Thankfully, he doesn't let me fall through and actually holds me up. I close my eyes before muttering a response.
"I know, I know. I can't just listen, I have to obey. Not everything you say is a suggestion." Regardless, that hint of worry remains in the back of my mind, which SQUIP will likely push further away until it's no longer noticeable.
"Exactly! This party will definitely boost your status and gain you more friends. You just have to be careful." I feel a finger slip under my chin before my head is lifted to meet his confident gaze. "We'll sneak in any food that's clean, and, if you need a drink, you'll get water from the sink in the bathroom, so no one will see and think your lame for not drinking. I can make it seem like you're drunk, so they don't get suspicious either."
"Wouldn't it be easier just to drink?" I question with a raised brow. His expression quickly turns serious.
"Absolutely no drinking. It fucks with my system." I grin, likely making him regret ever telling me that.
