Life goes on

On the first day, I managed to get rid of one of the octopus's tentacles. I was the only one. I cut off some pieces of the knife and taped it to my hand. Then, I waited for our introductions and shook his tentacle. I was the first and so far the only one to get that far.
Karasuma gave me a new knife after that and told me to keep up the good work before he left. After that, the school day went pretty normal, or at least as normally as it could with being a witch with a yellow octopus as a teacher. I didn't really learn anything new, we just went over what to suspect, had some basic exercises, did a bit of cooking, then had some time to try and kill the octopus towards the end. But, at the end of the day, the octopus asked me to stay after class to speak with me about something.
"So, Miss Hanako, What is a student like you doing in E class?" He asked me.
"Well sir, I am here because I attend a second school and the principal and my new deputy headmistress did not want me to overwork myself more than I already do. The second reason, and my more personal reason, is because I am acting as an olive branch between the E class and the other classes." I answered sincerely.
"Kukukukuku, well, we have here an overachiever star student. Congratulations on being the first to destroy one of my tentacles though." The yellow thing said laughing.
"If you will excuse me sir, I have to go to a student council meeting?" I asked wanting to go speak face to face with Asano.
"I am sure you can be a few minutes late to a meeting. I have just a few more questions." He argued.
"I cannot be late for a meeting! If I am, I might get replaced. As student body president and a member of the E class, I have people who are looking for ways to take me out of my position. I worked hard for that spot, Asano doesn't even want me to be president due to my age. If I can't trust my brother figure not to take over office, I have to work and keep it for myself." I countered. I can not be late. I hardly have enough time as it is for the meeting.
"Alright, you may go. Try to show up early tomorrow though. Goodbye Miss Hanako." The yellow thing said before letting me run to the meeting.
     When I got there, Asano gave me a hug before we started the actual meeting.
"Any problems Sakakibara?" Asano asked.
"None to report. How is E Class Hanako darling?" Sakakibara asked jokingly.
"I mean I didn't learn anything, but the new teacher seems to be on top of his game. E class might be able to improve if the progress he made today continues. However, I do ask that you let me borrow you notes Asano. I want to stay on top of my academics and not be hindered after all." I asked keeping my cool.
"Of course flower. Now last time we all met officially you had an idea for a fundraiser, what is it?" Asano asked.
"Right! I almost forgot about that. Anyway, we should do a bake sale. I found a book of English desserts and I think we could make a decent profit. It is not like it could hinder our savings anyway." I answered pulling out my homemade book of dessert recipes.
"Alright, let's hear some ideas" Asano said looking kind of unimpressed. Honestly, I don't know why these meetings aren't just with Asano, Sakakibara, and I. The other three just go along with whatever Asano or I say, it is kind of sad how little of a personality they all have.
"So we have fruit pies, minced meat pie, chocolate and similar pies, strawberry cake, chocolate cake, fruit cake, spice cakes, random flavors of cakes like pumpkin crumble or cinnamon banana, tarts- fruit or other, strudel, turnovers, eclairs, candies, candied fruits, fudge of many types, brownies, blondes, biscuits of chocolate or similar, pralines, butterscotch treats, many types of puddings, and in the back are things that I like but don't quite have names(cauldron cakes and similar)" I listed while pointing to everything.
"Wow, seven weeks in Mother England and you are already eating like a Brit." Asano commented harshly.
"Only for dessert, I cannot stand another night of Shepherds Pie, Chicken Pot Pie, or roasted foul with potatoes. I want to go and eat a big bowl of Katsudon or Udon after this!" I lashed practically having a mental breakdown.
"All in favor of going to a Ramen stand after this?" Sakakibara asked the rest of the group.
"Aye" was heard unanimously around besides myself since I was in no state to agree. Asano picked me up and started to carry me on his back since I am so small, and Sakakibara and the others carried Asano's and my things to a near by Ramen stand. Once we got there, I was wiping up my tears while Asano ordered my food. We all sat in silence until after we finished our bowls. Let me just tell you (and break the third wall, oh well, I just had to suffer through a conditioning lacrosse practice in 100 degree heat. I don't really care about the rules of writing right now.), a bowl of simple noodles in broth can taste like food from a place above when you have been forced to eat weird food for a few weeks. I gave each of the boys a hug after that and said my goodbyes before leaving back to Hogwarts to mess with time and attend transfiguration with Slytherin then Potions with the house of green as well. At least it is classes I actually like, I mean I could be stuck in flying classes again. Honestly, if I ever have to ride a broom again, it will be a thousand lifetimes too soon.
