Chapter 13

Luke's POV:

The kiss was amazing.

I was shocked at first so I didn't kiss back but when I realized what was happening I immediately kissed back. Our lips moved against each other's perfectly. I felt lots of different fireworks explode inside my stomach.

As Ash pulled away his beautiful eyes took my breath away, if it wasn't already taken away. Ashton looked at me for a brief seconds before glancing at the ground and turning to Michael.

My whole face was dark red and I couldn't stop the burning feeling on my lips. I tried to stop a smile from spreading across my face and it actually worked. Nobody said another word so I left. I was still in shock because that was the last thing I expected to happen. The very last thing. I walked back to my table and as I sat down next to Calum he looked at me.

Nobody would be so stupid to not see the huge smile on my face. I don't know why I was smiling but I just couldn't stop it.

"Dude, you look like you just won the lottery!" I looked at Calums confused face and laid my hand on his shoulder.

"Maybe I did?" I giggled, yes, giggled, and turned around to look over to Ashton's table. He was sitting next to Michael with his head on his friends shoulder. Cal followed my stare and looked at Ashton.

"What's up with you two?" He sounded kind of unsure and weird like he was jealous.

"Nothing, Cal. I just think we're friends again." Then I turned back around and immediately someone sat on my lap and laid their arms around my neck.

"So Lukey boy, we could go to the biology classroom, nobody's there right now." I looked into Regina's make up covered face before she leaned forward and whispered in my ear. "We still have some time.."

Before I could shove her off me I felt someone run by behind me. I looked towards the door and saw Ashton looking at me for a brief second before he ran out of the cafeteria followed by Michael. I finally managed to shove the girl off of me and she landed on the floor screaming. I stood up and rushed out of the cafeteria in order to find Ashton. He looked so sad.

Ashton's POV:

My head was lying on Mikey's shoulder as I thought about the kiss. It was amazing. It felt perfect. I wanted to kiss Luke again but I shouldn't want it. I shouldn't like him and I shouldn't want to kiss him. M

y face was still dark red and Mike was trying to make me calm down.

"Mate, it's okay if you liked the kiss. I mean, he kissed back so it meant something to him as well." I closed my eyes. Yeah, it could be possible that he liked it, too. He kissed back and it felt like he wanted it.

I raised my head from Mike's shoulder and turned around to see if Luke was looking that way but he didn't. Instead he sat on his table with some girl on his lap and she leaned forward and whispered something in his ear. Something in my chest felt like it just shattered in a million pieces.

My legs moved by themselves as I stood up and ran over to the door of the cafeteria. I stopped for a short second and made eye contact with Luke. His eyes were dull and had guilt in them. In that moment I couldn't stop myself from running to the bathrooms and I locked myself in one of the stalls. I just stared at the door blankly as the whole thing ran through my head again.

I kissed Luke.

He kissed back.

He went away even if I said he shouldn't.

He looked at me rapidly.

He let some girl touch him and probably make out with him right now.

And then he looked at me as if he was sorry.

I heard the door of the bathroom open and I held my breath just in case.

"Ash?" Mikey's voice was quiet.

"Yeah.." I opened the stall door and Mikey came in and pulled me in a hug. I nuzzled my head in the crook of his neck. His hand slightly rubbed my back. It was quiet for a few minutes until he spoke up.

"You like him, don't you?" I held my breath for a second in hope he'd change the topic but he didn't. Mike waited for my answer patiently without moving.

"I liked the kiss." Was all I said. My friends arms hugged me even tighter and I enjoyed it.

As we both just stood there in the bathroom hugging and saying not a word the door opened again and Mike immediately turned around.

As I looked up I saw this blonde whiff and blue eyes that made my chest hurt. Before I could say anything Mikey pushed Luke out of the bathroom and closed the door behind both of them. I ran over to the door and laid my ear against it because I wanted to listen. I heard mumbles but I still understood them.

"-you dare to hurt him!!"

"I-I never wanted to hurt him!"

"You did, Hemmings and don't believe you could do that again!"

"Please, Michael, just let me talk to him!"

"Go away, before I-"

I pushed the door open and was faced with a red faced Michael and a pale looking Luke. Our eyes met and he opened his mouth but I was first. "Don't."

Then I took Mikey's hand and walked away. I heard Luke say something and it made me stop in my tracks.

My heart started to beat faster and my cheeks flushed a deep shade of red. Slowly i turned around and looked at him. I furrowed my eyebrows to show him that i heard him. Luke nodded and came towards me with a sad expression on his face.

The whole world seemed to go in slow motion as he made his way over to me. When he stood right in front of me i looked up to him and blinked a few times. It couldn't be happening right now. I had to be dreaming.

Luke Hemmings was standing right in front of me looking down at me and smiling slightly. His hands reached for mine and a burning feeling creeped into my hands.

"D-did you just say that?" i couldn't believe him. As much as i wanted to believe it i couldn't. Luke nodded and closed his ocean blue eyes for a second before repeating the words that made my heart flutter yet shatter into a billion pieces.

"I like you, Ashton. Please be mine."
