"Leave me the fuck alone. I'm healthy, alright? Now get off me!" Alex yells desperately. The doctors seem not to notice any of his complains as they drag him to a room. I rethink my next movement only once it's done, and I enter the room where he's at. I close the door behind me.
"Jeez, leave me alone already!" He spats, before turning around, and having his temper cool off instantly. "Heather."
"Some people call me that."
"What are you doing here?"
"Buying apples."
"Was there an accident?"
"Sort of."
"Are you okay?"
"Compared to you."
He gulps and frowns, not knowing how to approach me. The problem is that I'm nervous as well, and I don't know why I'm answering to his questions so indifferently.
"Sorry. I just woke up from a few hours of sleep, and I'm trying to keep myself from stress." I explain, urging him to look at me and smile like I love.
"How did you end up here?" He repeats.
"A car accident. But I'm alright. I just need to watch my stress level."
"What does that have to do?"
"It's just... I'm not sure. I guess I'm still recovering from my coma episode." He opens his mouth, but I cut through his attempt. "Why are you here?"
"When you ran out of the bakery shop that night, I couldn't do anything but follow you. I was so hurried and reckless that I got hit by a truck. But I'm fine! And they just won't let me out! They got my phone and everything. They insist in having some tests done, but I don't understand. I'm feeling grand, even more now that you're with me, I mean-"
But he stops abruptly, realizing what he just said. I smile to myself and blush. "Yeah bad boy. I get it. They can't have you in a cage."
"It's not that. I just... wanted to know if you were okay."
We maintain eye contact for a rather long time, and he's a lot more shy than I am, but we're interrupted by a doctor storming into the room. "Mr. Magalski, we still have one test to apply on you, and we would appreciate if you decide to collaborate."
Alex's about to argue with him, but I speak first. "What are these tests for? Is there something wrong?"
"We're not sure, but the radiographies indicate some possible problems with his heart. We're trying to check for heart diseases in his family, but that involves him giving blood, and so far he's been-"
"-Not very cooperative, I understand. Can you allow us a moment?"
He seems taken aback, but certainly he exits. I face Alex.
"Heart diseases? Alex Magalski, you are going to take that test without complaining like a little kid and let them take charge of you until they release you. You're going to make this because it's important, and you're not fine. And it's stressing me that you won't grant them the opportunity to help you."
"Alright, alright! Fine. I'll do it." Alex agrees, and the doctor guides him somewhere else. He looks back at me and winks.

Jimmy parks next to my house. He kisses my cheek and we say good night. I enter and Javier's already here, being severely grounded by our mother. I walk directly pass them, when Lindsey grabs me by the hand and pulls me to her room.
"I need help." She says.
