☠ Agatha ☠
I had, somehow, gotten myself obsessed with a book from the school's library. I'd been sat in the corner, my feet on the fabric chair, huddled in a ball reading it for hours. I'd missed most of my classes, but for some reason, the librarian never said a word to me. She just smiled at me, and let me stay put with the book. The book had some similarities to my experiences in life. Will Grayson (the second one) was, somewhat, depressed, as was I. It hit home to me, and that's what intrigued me about it. The first line of (the second) Will Grayson in chapter 2 shared the same thoughts as I did. "I am constantly torn between killing myself and killing everyone around me." It's almost like if you killed the others, you'd be relieved and free from their hatred or ignorance, and if you killed yourself, the same outcome was there. The book looked new and neat, as if it had never been touched, nor read. It surprised me because it was a well written book, and it held so much truth in it.
"Will Grayson, Will Grayson?" The book was pushed down, revealing a tilted-headed Luke. He smiled down at me before sitting at my side. "I'd hoped it was you, otherwise it would've just been embarrassing," he chuckled. I closed the book, leaving a torn piece of paper between the pages.
"You really did mean that you'd be hanging around me, didn't you?" I joked. He nodded and crossed his legs on the chair, picking at the loose strands of fabric on his ripped jeans.
"And annoying you, too," he sheepishly smiled at me. "I didn't know you spent most of your time in here, it's a pretty calm and peaceful place, isn't it?" I nodded. "If you're wondering, I asked someone and they told me you walked in here, I don't stalk you," I laughed quietly. "Apparently, you've been missing your classes?"
"Yeah, I got caught up in the book, but the librarian actually let me stay," Luke's eyes widened, and his eyebrows raised.
"Lucky," he huffed. "I had math, it sucked ass, so did our teacher," he crossed his arms over his chest. "Anyway, we've got 10 minutes before school ends, do you want to do something?"
"Like what?" I asked, putting my feet on the floor and off the chair. He thought for a moment, before getting hyped about his sudden idea.
"There's a park a few minutes away from here, we could go there, we could go for a walk or sit and talk?" He suggested.
"Sure," I smiled. "I could do with some exercise."
I had taken the book with me, and we walked down to the main entrance of the school. The bell had rung a few minutes prior, but Luke needed to pee so I had to wait. We made our way down the road towards the park. From afar, it looked like a lot of people from our year were there, which panicked me. Luke just nudged me with his elbow, shooting me a smile in hope to comfort me. As we sat down on the hill, two girls ran up to us.
"Oh my god," one girl said. "I think she's a ghost, I can almost see the ground through her," she went to touch me but Luke blocked her, by placing his hand around her fist.
"I suggest you leave us alone," he warned. "That is, if you don't want a broken finger and in need of a new nose job," he lowered his voice. The girls cowered away, running to tell their friends.
"Why did you just do that?" I shouted, loud enough for only the two of us to hear.
"I just protected you, you know, like, saved your ass from being hurt?" He didn't understand. I didn't want him doing that, being violent or threatening towards them. "I thought that's what friends did."
"It is, but you can't be that horrible," I said. "It makes you no better then they are," he faced the floor by now. He muttered an apology. "Can we just leave?"
"Yeah, I think that's probably the best thing to do."
We decided to keep clear of the park, and walked along the street nearby. We'd passed my house, and I noticed that my dad was by the window. He had his back to us, but as we walked passed a pair of women's hands wrapped around his neck. My mum had left, though, that was a different woman. Luke was rambling on about some film he wanted us to watch, but I was too focused on my dad and the woman to listen. Luke was proud of himself because he'd finally picked out a film. "-so, when should we watch it?"
"Don't mind," I trailed, I stopped to hide behind a tree. Luke was confused and stood closely behind me. He lowered his mouth to my ear.
"What are we doing?" He whispered, his breathe tickling my ear. I pushed his face away, gently.
"I think my dad's cheating on my mum," I whispered back. "A woman has her hands around his neck."
"Maybe it's your mum?" He attempted to correct me but I shook my head.
"She left this morning, and her car's gone," I frowned at the sight of my dad closing his face near the woman's. "That's not my mum, what am I supposed to say to him, and my mum?" Luke just sighed.
"Hope that he'll admit something to you," he shrugged. "Or just forget that you even saw it," I turned to face him with raised eyebrows.
"You just want to go home and watch that film, don't you?" I crossed my arms over my chest and rested against the tree trunk.
"Pfft, pfft, pfft...Yes," he laughed. "It's such a good film, and it's the first thing that I've come up with that you haven't watched," he wailed his arms.
"What's the film called again?"
"Mr. Poppers Penguins," I scrunched my face up. "What?"
"I might have, sorta, already seen it?" He groaned.
"Next thing you'll be telling me you've seen TMNT," he said and I tilted my head. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?"
"I know what it stands for, moron," I slapped his arm. "I didn't know they had a show, I love them," his eyes widened.
"You aren't just saying that, are you?" I shook my head. "Finally," he breathed out. "There's a cartoon one, which is new, or there's an old version which is people puppet things," I laughed at how happy he was. "There's also a film out and-"
"She's coming out," I panicked. The woman was making her way down our path and approaching us. "Quickly we have to-" Luke grabbed my upper arms and pulled me into him. "Fuck off, we aren't doing that kissing thing, nobody buys it," so I ran, leaving Luke trailing behind me. He had this miserable look on his face when I pushed him away, which made me laugh about.
"Fuck, Agatha, slow down," he panted as I stopped. "Wow," he breathed heavily. "That's the first time I've said that."
I slapped his arm. "I don't need to know about your sex life, virgin," I joked.
"Shut up," he laughed as he returned the forearm hit. We started to walk towards his house, rather then running. That was the most exercise I'd done today... And ever. Bit of an exaggeration, but...
----
Before you say it, I know the "pfft pfft pfft yes" is said by Michael, but I really wanted to add it in. Who knows, maybe the other boys will turn up and cause/stir shit (up)... And, you guys must think I'm a bitch for this chapter about the cheating dad, eh? I'm sorry, but vote and comment. Next update should be soon...
This story is gonna get fluffy as fuck. And most possibly smutty at some point... Lol, not really, unless you want that, but I don't do that "fuck faster" stuff, more like the sex description in Rehab by Calumbreon (great book by the way, it's my favourite, so go read it if you haven't already).
Sorry for the awful update... Anyway, next two chapters will be cute bc Lugatha .... You can come up with a ship name, I'm crâp @ these
