Arabella stared down at the flowers that blissfully blew, she wondered how peaceful they all must feel just blowing in the wind no worries to carry, no cares. She dreamed of a life like that maybe not so much being a flower but being a woman with no troubles or worries. She turned at the snapping of a branch and saw the man she dreamed to see, the man that did make her feel peaceful, the man that made her forget everything in a small moment of time.
"Sophia informed me you would be here .. actually she searched around the castle until she found me" He giggled softly, Arabella gently smiled.
Jon noticed she didn't laugh and instantly knew something was off, the woman before him wasn't herself and he could sense it.
"My fathers raven arrived in the early hours." She sighed the small letter in her hands she handed it over to Jon who held it with shaky hands "Read it"
Jon took time reading carefully over every word, her one request silenced by her father.
"He isn't always so... Forceful with his words." She muttered taking the letter back into her own hands smoothing over the rolled creases.
"I'm sorry M'lady, i know you wished to see your brother." He whispered "Maybe i can send him your regards."
Arabella raised her brow cocking her head towards the man before her "And how may you do that?"
It was obvious, but she needed to hear him say it, she needed him to confirm that feelings that she had bubbling inside her were going to be crushed, because if Jon was doing this that meant he was throwing away any chance to be with the girl before him.
"I'm joining the nights watch. Heading towards Castle Black in the week to come."
"We're you planning on informing me before your departure?"
"I was under the impression that you and your maiden would be joining me and my uncle on our travels..." He whispered.
"Is this truly what you want?"
She laced her fingers around the lace that held together his cloak, he flinched slightly "I'm not accepted here." He whispered "I'll not be accepted as a knight, no matter who my father is. Bastards aren't privileged, they don't become..."
"I accept you, Jon Snow." She stopped him from continuing stroking her hand against the stubble on his cheek "Is that not enough?"
He gulped "I can't..."
"I know." She whispered biting on her bottom lip, she would have kissed him, she wanted to kiss him but she couldn't, no matter how badly she wanted this she needed to respect his decision, his decision to never love, never kiss or hold a women.
