Uniqua pulled Caillou to the side. She was so entranced by this bald-headed legend, she didn't know what more could come out of this night. She looked deep into his eyes.
"Woah, what was that all about?" Uniqua said awkwardly.
"I don't know....haha you watched Step Up 3 too?" Caillou replied.
"Of course! It's one of my favorite movies of all time. It reminds me of a simpler time in my life."
"Same! Things were so less complicated when we were kids."
"I knooww, I kinda miss those days."
"Me too, but it's whatever. We're still learning and growing the same way we were when we kids. Just... a little different."
"You mean a LOT different."
"Yeah, you got me there. I tried at least."
"It's ok. You know, you're a really cool guy, Caillou. I'm so surprised I've never talked to you."
"I've always wanted to talk to you actually," Caillou said with a smirk, "But the timing just never felt right. Or you know, there was never really a chance to talk to you at all."
"Well, I'm glad we talked now."
They smiled and laughed. The backyard's lights shining on their face. The party felt timeless, everything felt right.
