''Wow. Just wow.", Tasha thought. How could this purple kangaroo who was practically a nobody when they were kids seem so different as a teenager. She never really cared for Austin at all when they were younger, but Tasha wanted that to change. She quickly left the hug and proceeded to sit back down.
"Oh...um...hey Austin how are you?", Tasha said with few stutters.
"Things are going great. How is the Newspaper business thingy?", Austin said casually.
"Good, good, goodie! Hehehe..."
"...anyways, when is this party stating? The invite wasn't really explanatory."
"HAHAHHHHAHAHA.....um I mean I'm not sure it just said to meet up here. Heheee...."
Tasha was super embarrassed. She had never clammed up like this since her first day working for the news department. The news department...of course!!! Tasha put on a fake, but a seemingly real smile on. "Anyways, how is preparation for college treating your mental and physical states?", Tasha said in a plain monotone voice, the one she used when she had to go into the school's office and make daily announcements.
Austin look confused, and he didn't really like this tone Tasha was talking to him with.
"Hmmm... it's a lot of work I guess, but I plan on applying to several U.C's and maybe some Ivy League.
Tasha didn't really care for his answer, she was really into him in general. Tasha realized how she was acting and quickly walked away from Uniqua and the charming purple kagaroo and headed for the bathroom.
"Tasha? You ok?", said Uniqua in a worried tone.
"Yes, yes, I just need to 'powder my nose' hehehe.", Tasha quickly said. She ran quickly up the stairs and almost nearly fell when she ran in front of the door. She shut it quickly, locked it, and looked at herself in the mirror above the sink.
Tasha quickly examined herself.
"What are you doing Tasha? What. Are. You. Doing. Just be normal. This is normal. Now get back out there and show Austin you can be cute AND totally normal.", Tasha thought to herself. As soon as she cautiously opened the bathroom door, there was a hard knock at the front door.
