Uniqua gently pushed him off of her, trying to not make it obvious she was super nervous and scared.
"Pablo! The whole gangs here now! Don't forget to say hello to them too hahaha!", Uniqua very awkwardly said.
She quickly regretted her choice of conversation when she saw Pablo move to everyone else. She wanted the hug to last longer. The gang welcomed Pablo over with delighted expressions.
"Ayyyyeee thas mah boy Pablo get over here!", said Tyrone.
"Tyrone! It's nice seeing you somewhere else other than the basketball court.", Pablo replied
Tyrone let out a huge laugh and punched the blue penguin on the arm. Pablo gave a weak laugh as he rubbed his bruised arm. He greeted Tasha, who was super excited to see Pablo. Tasha opened up her yellow, averagely sized arms and let Pablo fall into them, thus making a warm and welcoming hug.
''Pablo! It's so good to see you!", Tasha said happily.
Unlike every other boy in the Backyardigan gang, Tasha was not interested in Pablo. She always knew Pablo would end up with Uniqua, and Tasha was perfectly okay with that. Tasha would always tease Uniqua about dating Pablo, but Uniqua never gave into the idea, that is, until today. After Uniqua had told her about being "Pablo Material" and basically being in love with him, Tasha knew that she had to take this get-together to its advantage and make Pabiqua canon.
''Tasha how's it been!", Pablo said in a cheerful tone.
"I'm doing great! But enough introductions, lets get this party started!", Tasha replied.
Pablo gave a quick smirk, which made Uniqua feel mushy inside. Uniqua looked around and saw the bright lights and happy faces.
