Chaper 17

Erika's Pov- the world hates me, I can never just be happy. Something has to happen to me. I'm such a freak. Jake shouldn't have to deal with my problems, I feel terrible for him, he was by myside all night making sure I was okay. He barely slept. I'm not good for him. He should be with someone who doesn't lose their shit when someone touches them. I hate that I worry him too much. I woke up to the sounds of his heartbeat, he was sound asleep. I was getting hungry but I didn't want to wake him up because he needed the sleep, so I just stayed here listening to his heart. It was such a soothing sound. I don't know why it calms me down. As I was thinking I feel Jake move around in his sleep. I think he was having a nightmare. He wouldn't stop shaking then I heard the most heartbreaking words come out of him. "leave Erika alone, don't touch her, get off of her" he was dreaming about last night. I'm making him stress. I'm causing him to not sleep. I'm the reason for all of this. I shake him out of his sleep and as soon as he opens his eyes, I hug him.

Erika- I'm sorry Jake.

Jake- for what?

Erika- I'm sorry for everything that I have done to you. You deserve someone better than me. You deserve someone that won't cause you nightmares. Someone who will bring you happiness, someone that's not me. (Erika looks down with a tear coming down her face but Jake wipes it)

Jake- no

Erika- no?

Jake- no, you don't get to tell me what's good for me or what I deserve. I want you Erika, no one else. I won't let you leave that easily. You need me just as much as I need you. Don't ever think you aren't good enough for me because you are. I love you Rik. I would do anything for you. So, no I'm not going to listen to you.

Erika- I'm sorry (hugs him and cries a little) I'm sorry (she whispers)

Jake- stop apologizing to me. Baby girl I love you.

Erika- I love you too (kisses him passionately) you are everything I have ever wanted.

Jake- you are everything I could ever ask for. (Erika's stomach growls and she gets embarrassed, so Jake chuckles) how about some breakfast for my hungry girlfriend? (pecks her)

Erika- yes, please. I've been starving for a while.

Jake- why didn't you tell me baby?

Erika- you looked so peaceful sleeping and I know you didn't get much sleep last night so I wanted to let you rest up.

Jake- awe Rik, you should have woken me up. Come on let's go make something quick for that stomach of yours. (Erika chuckled)
