"The broken hearts club."
It is safe to say he felt betrayed, a native concept in Todoroki's life; betrayal.
He didn't like the fact Midoriya went behind his back, just after he was considering him a friend. But he wasn't ready to give up on the green haired boy just yet, Todoroki believed good was still a spark inside him, he believed the so-called "Good" was still there, he just had to dig deeper.Shoto was at home, sitting cross-legged on his bed as he gazed out the window, his hands placed neatly on his knees as stared out intently.
He was still in his school uniform, since he'd just got back from what he supposed was the League of Villains hideout. He should report it, but he didn't want to put Midoriya in anymore danger than he already was in. After all, the reason Izuku was being treated unfairly was because of Shoto.Frustration kicked in, he wanted to intervene in Midoriya's plans with the villains, but he didn't want to get the green haired boy killed. There was nothing he could do to make things any better, and it angered the fiery boy.
He grabbed his phone, he and Midoriya had exchanged numbers once, maybe he'd answer.T: hey, it's Todoroki. Please reconsider.
He waited, a few minuets passed. Nothing.
Half an hour. Nothing.
One hour. Noth—
Ping.Todoroki scrambled for his phone, eyes lighting up when he sees the message from Midoriya.
M: meet me at the school gates in 30.
He leapt to his feet, finding any clothes off the round and chucking them on, a pair of blue jeans and a baggy red shirt.
He runs out the door, not caring about shoes, he heard his sister yell something at him, but he ignored it and continued his way towards the school.
Did Midoriya change his mind? He hoped so. Shoto pulled out his phone once he reached the school, no one in sight, the sky above was twinkling with stars and the moon was making its steady trip around the sky.10:35 pm. Where was he? He looked around, and then he heard a snap behind him.
Midoriya emerged from the shadows, relief overcame Todoroki, but it was soon disintegrated when he was he wasn't alone. Midoriya has a blade pressed against his back, and behind him was non other than...Taisei.
"Greetings, Shoto, I hope you don't mind, but I cancelled my trip because I was worried for my son's wellbeing, turns out I was right." He glared right towards Shoto, who narrowed his eyes, getting into a fighting position. If Taisei dared hurt Midoriya—"Tsk tsk tsk, Shoto, I wouldn't that. You see, I'm not interested in hurting my son, I'm merely making sure he does what he's told." With that, he pushes his son forwards so he's standing a few centimetres away from Todoroki, who runs to embrace him in a hug.
Why wasn't he responding? Midoriya seemed downcast, hurt, fragile. He didn't even flinch when his father kicked him, or react when Todoroki hugged him. Something was off."What did you —" a searing pain exploded in Todoroki's stomach, and he heard the feeble whimpers from Midoriya as he cried.
"I'm sorry." He said and pulled away from the hug, to reveal a dagger implanted in Todoroki's stomach.
Silence followed them as Shoto stared, unable to utter a word as he fell to his knees, grabbing the holt of the knife, not wanting to move it in case of increased pain."I'm sorry." Midoriya cried again, wiping tears from his face for what seemed like the fifth time that night.
"M-Midoriya." Todoroki fell to his hands, feeling blood trickle from his mouth as he tried to suck in air. It was no use. He was going to die.
"That's right son, now that you have made your debut, everyone will know you killed the number two heroes son." Izuku didn't look at any of them, the hurt in his chest was too much to bare."I'm done." Izuku turned to his father, the tears were brimming up against his eyes, wide and so full of life it was hard to believe he just stabbed someone.
"What?"
"I'm done being your puppet, I hate this. If this is what it means to bring change then — then I don't want to be a villain." The tears fell some more, maybe he was corrupt."It's too late for that, son. You've done your part, now you can't escape villainy." Taisei edged closer, pulling out another blade from his coat, the blade catching the light as he advanced onto his son, holding the knife up to his throat.
"But we can't have kids running around telling the heroes information on the villains, now, can we?" He traced the blade across Izuku's neck, leaving a small trail of blood."Well son. Goodbye." In an instant, the knife was plunged into his throat. Horrible choking noises were coming out of Izuku's mouth as he gagged for breath, the bubbling of blood drowning him as he fell to his own knees in front of Todoroki, who was still barely alive.
"Midoriya!" He reaches out a hand to grab onto the lifeless boy, but instead falls onto the ground, feeling the last light die from his body, along with Izuku's.
"Ah, what a shame, I was starting to like him." Taisei cleans the blade with the sleeve of his jacket, before walking into the night. Two kills, what a way to begin.
Yes I know I completely rushed this, and honestly I became very unmotivated with this story so I ended it 😅
