Since the couple was really eager to go on a getaway with their son, they decided to drive to their little holiday home a few hours away from Windsor, over the weekend.
,,Ready for our trip beautiful?" The prince wrapped his arms around the brunette and smiled brightly
,,Yeah I think I've packed everything, is Archie's bag ready?" she smiled at him
,,Ready to go, look at him" he pointed at the car seat with the toddler in it, wearing short overalls and a striped shirt with little converse shoes.
,,He seems excited!" she smiled brightly
,,It's his first big trip" he replied
,,Richard and Nick will stay in the House nearby for safety reasons, it's better to be safe than risk anything" the prince said
,,Alright, I wouldn't mind them staying with us in our actual house harry, they're practically family." the brunette said while giving Archie his pacifier
,,I thought about it at first.. but I don't think they want to hear you moan my name out loud at night" he whispered into her ear before placing a kiss on her cheek
,,You're really getting into the mood for this romantic getaway don't you?" she turned around to face him
,,Yeah you could say that" the prince smirked while having his arms around his wife
,,Your highness, Are you Ready to leave?" Richard asked while nick was already in the other Range Rover
,,Yes we're ready to go Richard" he smiled at the security guard before getting into his car

The drive to the Cotswolds house was pretty smooth, Archie was asleep during the whole drive and Meghan was too. It was much needed sleep for the brunette. When they arrived at the driveway, the prince woke up his wife.
,,Babe wake up" he whispered while stroking her cheek
Her eyelashes flattered open and revealed her tired doe eyes
,,You okay?" He softly stroke her thigh
,,Yeah" she nodded before exiting the car and helping harry to take their stuff in
Archie was still fast asleep in his car seat. The couple quickly set up the portable crib to put their son in and afterwards made some lunch for themselves and gave some to Richard and nick.
,,I really love it here" the brunette said while eating her food
,,Me too.. no paparazzi or anything else, just us" he smiled softly at his wife
,,But it has gotten a lot better after moving to frogmore cottage.. don't get me wrong I love Kensington.. but it's -" she was cut off by Harry
,,It's a fishbowl" he chuckled
,,Yeah it is" she laughed
,,I'm glad we moved away, it's more private" he mumbled while eating his pasta
Just when they finished eating they heard a certain toddler whining
,,I'll go, enjoy your pasta" the prince quickly replied before getting Archie
,,Hey Bubba" he cuddled the toddler
,,Are you hungry?" He asked the little boy who was crying now
,,That means yes" he mumbled before going back to his wife
,,should I try giving him some mush or do you want to feed him?" He asked
,,I'll feed him now. He can have the mush in the evening" Meghan said before taking Archie and starting to feed him
,,He looks more like you with everyday that passes by" he chuckled watching the baby being feed
,,But he has your eyes though" she smiled softly at her son
,,He does" he said while still smiling
,,nick could take care of him for a few hours while we could go to the lake for a swim" the prince said
,,That Sounds amazing, it's been a while since we've been swimming" she chuckled at her husband

,,Meg come on, Archie's taking a nap" the prince said while he was already changed into green swimming shorts
,,Give me a minute" The brunette replied before she put on her black bikini and a summer dress over it
,,have you been training again?" She asked her husband while walking into their room
,,A little bit" he chuckled
,,Is it visible though?" He looked down at his stomach
,,Yeah you could say that" she smiled and gave him a soft kiss
,,You don't look so bad yourself" the prince stroke her hand gently before placing a kiss on it
It was a roughly ten minutes walk to the lake, which reminded them of the woods in Australia during their first overseas tour. As they arrived harry put out a blanket with a few nonalcoholic drinks before taking of his shirt. He would lie if he said that he wasn't turned on by the way his wife looked in that bikini, but he tried to compose himself for later.
,,You look absolutely beautiful" he smiled while clearly checking out the brunette in front of him
,,Thank you Harry" she smiled softly before taking his hand and leading him to the water
,,It doesn't seem that cold" the prince said while already being half in
,,Are you sure?" Meghan asked while keeping her distance
,,Yeah come on meg" he laughed and walked towards her direction
The prince took her hand and pulled her into the lake
,,It's still a bit cold though" she replied and wrapped her arms around her husbands neck
,,I can warm you" he smiled cheeky and put his arms around her waist trying to keep her warm
The couple was really enjoying their time in the lake and it also turned into a little water fight.
,,Meg look" he pointed at a little fish swimming away from them
,,Do you think Archie would want a little nemo ?" She asked curious
,,He probably would love to when he's older" he laughed

Suddenly the couple heard some weird sound, as if someone would be taking pictures of them

,,Did you hear that" harry whispered while trying to mask his wife up with himself
,,Harry what is that" she whispered clearly worried
,,Let's get out of here" he mumbled angry
The prince quickly grabbed their things and didn't let go of meghans hand until they reached their home again
,,How was the water your highness?" Nick asked while having a bubbly Archie next to him
,,There's someone out there who took pictures of me and Meghan" he said mad
,,Wait, What?" Nick quickly got up and called Richard over
,,Harry are you sure that someone was there?" Richard ascertained
,,100% Richard, I know the sound of cameras when I hear them.. and there was definitely one out there" he replied
,,Stay at our house tonight, okay? We can't risk anything" he mumbled and watched Meghan having Archie on her lap
,,We will, don't worry harry we informed your father. As soon as someone is starting to publish pictures of you and the duchess there will be big consequences" Richard said serious
,,Something doesn't seem right.. how did the paparazzi found out that you two brought this holiday home" nick asked
,,We didn't think about it.. the paparazzi had to break some laws to get that information.." Richard replied
,,What if the paparazzi wasn't the one taking pictures" harry mumbled worried
,,Your highness we should better get back to Windsor" nick said
,,We'll pack our bags quickly" he said in a stressed tone
,,Should we-" Richard, was cut off by the door bell ringing
The security looked at each other before taking out their munitions and standing in front and behind harry and Meghan. Harry looked at his wife who had her eyes closed and cuddled Archie tightly.
,,It's going to be okay" he whispered into the brunettes ear before kissing the top of her head
The door bell was now ringing for the second time
