"Detective?"

"Detective Reed?"

"Wake up Detective!" Nines shouted as he whacked Gavin across the face.

Gavin jumped up from his comfy bed and punched Nines across the face "what the fuck do you think your doing!?" Gavin screamed

"I was waking you up Detective, we've got a case" Nines sighed as he placed his hands behind his back

"A case? It's my day off and how the fuck do you know where I live?" Gavin Question as he glared at the android

"Officer Miller told me" is all Nines said

"Chris you son of a bitch" Gavin shook his head as he stood up pushing past Nines to get to his closet "get the fuck out my room" Gavin ordered

Nines nodded and walked out Gavin's room shutting the door behind him. As Nines waited for Gavin he walked around the Detective's apartment scanning objects to try and learn more about him. Nines walked into Gavin's kitchen where he found an empty cat bowl, it was pink and had the name Jinx engraved on it.
Gavin has a cat?
Nines looked at the cat bowl again before walking into the living room, he sat down on the sofa and scanned around the room. A photo caught Nines' eye and he zoomed in on it there were two men with their arms wrapped around each other's shoulders, Nines identified one of the men to be Gavin and the other Elijah Kamski.
Gavin is friends with Elijah?
Nines walked over to the photograph picking it up.

"What the fuck are you doing!?"

Nines turned to see Gavin starting at him quite aggressively.

"My apologies Detective I was just admiring this photo of you and Elijah Kamski" Nines said in a calm tone and put the photograph back where he found it.

"Listen here you plastic prick" Gavin snarled as he walked up to Nines "you don't touch anything in this apartment again! You got it!?" Gavin yelled poking Nines chest

"I understand Detective, it won't happen again"

"Good" Gavin nodded his head slightly. He looked Nines up and down before walking out his apartment with Nines following shortly after.

"Good job at the crime scene today Gavin" Chris smiled as he walked up to Gavin's desk

Gavin was on his phone and had his legs up on his desk, he looked over his phone slightly and gave a slight nod to Chris. Chris returned the nod and then smiled and walked back to his desk

"Detective?" Nines said softly

Gavin just ignored him and went back to playing a game on his phone

"Detective Reed?"

Gavin sighed and mumbled curse words under his breath "What?" He said sharply making eye contact with Nines

"Can I ask you some questions, about yourself?"

"No"

"Please Detective...... if we want to work and co-operate as partners, getting to know each other could be a step in the right direction"

Gavin sighed "get me a coffee dipshit and then I'll answer your fucking questions"

Nines obeyed and stood up walking to the break room, he grabbed the cups provided and put it under the coffee machine turning it on. He waited patiently until it was done, he picked up the cup putting a lid on top of it and walked over to the detectives desk setting it down in front of him.

"Your welcome" Nines mumbled before sitting back down besides Gavin

Gavin Sighed and put his legs down from the desk shoving his phone into his back pocket, he then carefully picked up the steaming coffee and took a long sip and put it back down on the desk and looked at nines. "Ask away" he said leaning back in the chair

Nines decided to question Gavin about the cat bowl first.

"I saw a Cat bowl with the name Jinx engraved onto it in the kitchen, do you own a cat?"

Gavin smiled slightly "yes I do own a cat"

"She's a tuxedo cat, I got her from an elderly couple that found her on the streets" Gavin still slightly smiled

⏺> "In that photo I saw at your apartment you had your arms wrapped around Elijah Kamski's shoulders, are you two friends?"

Gavin didn't say anything as he just stared up at the ceiling

⏹> Nines just kept quiet as he gazed at Gavin

"No he's not my friend" Gavin sighed

Nines tilted his head, "oh my apologies did you have a falling out?"

"Kind of yeah, but he's not my friend...... he's my brother.... we have different Moms though"

Nines raised his eyebrows "oh..."

"Yeah, now stop asking me questions"

"How did you and Elijah fall out?" Nines pushed on the question

"I said stop asking me questions tincan" Gavin growled

"Was there a physical fight?"

"What the fuck don't you understand about stop asking questions!!?" Gavin stood up grabbing the android's jacket

"My apologies Detective" The android smiled slightly

"Shut up with your fucking apologises!"

The android looked up at Gavin, and then stood up towering the Detective. Gavin snarled and let go of the androids jacket "Phck!" Gavin cursed and he stormed out the police station
