The Prince

Royal AU!

|Gavin's POV|

It's a cold and cloudy evening with the sun just setting behind the dark clouds, I'm stood infront of the castle walls waiting for the right time to make my break in. I can hear the heavy steps of guards on the other side of the wall and soon those footsteps fade off into a different direction, I take a deep breath and step back looking up at the wall I run up and struggle but eventually I push myself up and fall into the Castle grounds with a thud.

I scrapped my knees slightly but I just brush it off and ran to the flower gardens, I looked carefully and cut a few roses down with my pocket knife smiling softly as their red petals moved slightly in the wind. I took a deep breath and looked down at myself brushing off any dirt on my clothes I then looked up to the princes balcony planning the bricks I would step on to get up there, I took another deep breath and held he roses tightly as I ran up the wall and climbed up to the princes' balcony leaning on it as I waited for him

|Nines' POV|

I sat on my bed listening to my mothers daily lecture about yet another princess I had not gotten along with well, this had become routine by now and since I'm 17 my mother and father have started to pick out candidates to be my future queen. I sighed softly placing a hand to my cheek as she kept on, the sound of her voice became wordless whines after a while and I heard footsteps out by my balcony which made me smile slightly knowing who it was.

I looked up at my mother who had a hand on her hip glaring down at me as if she was waiting for an answer to something

"Well?" She asked her crown slipping down her head very slightly as he stamped her foot lightly

"I.....what?" I said softly looking up at her with an eyebrow raised

"What? What?!!" She raised her voice flinging her arms into the air "Were you not listening to a single thing I just told you!?"

I opened my mouth but quickly shut it shaking my head slightly which just earned me a frustrated sigh from my mother, she shook her head and stamped her foot again before storming out my room slamming the door behind her

I sighed softly and stood up fixing my shirt slightly, I combed my hair back and then walked out to the balcony

|Gavin's POV|

I heard the door open which made me straighten myself up from my sloughed position and there he was, the prince. My prince, I took a deep breath and slowly bowed holding the roses up to him to which he accepted holding them close as he smelt them

"My favourite" He said softly smiling as he planted a kiss on my cheek once I had stood up properly again

I blushed softly and smirked "The flowers?"

"Of course the flowers don't be silly" Nines chuckled as he gently shoved my shoulder winking

I shook my head and chuckled placing my hands on the princes' hips "So... what was your Mother whining about today?"

"Oh... just the usual" Nines sighed but he smiled wrapping his arms around my neck

"Oh right.... you didn't let any spoiled brat get to your right?" I held the Prince closer his nose touching mine, he was taller than me but I didn't mind much

He shook his head and smiled softly poking my nose "Now why would I hurt my little baby like that?"

I blushed softly and shrugged

"Exactly" he said softly and he cupped my cheek with his free hand and he kissed me softly to which I kissed back, I sighed softly and smiled as the kiss lasted with me running a hand through his brown locks

Eventually he backed away and smiled softly his crown placed perfectly on his head as he fixed his hair slightly

"One day-" he started taking his crown off his head "You will wear a crown just like mine" he smiled placing the crown on my head

I looked up at the crown slightly and chuckled "Huh.... you really think so?"

"I know so" Nines smiled kissing my cheek "And if my parents try to do anything to you then we'll run, we can live in a new castle and grow flowers all over the court yard"

I nodded and smiled softly as I gazed at Nines "I will protect you with my life your highness"

"And I will do the same, my future king" Nines said softly and he softly kissed me putting one of the roses into my hair as he did
