Backstory: She was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island by her parents and sisters (Basing her family off of Kaitlyn Dever's role in Last Man Standing). When she was a senior in high school, her and her sister got jumped. The guy turned out to be a vampire and she was turned by him. Her family kept her at home for a year until they were certain that she was safe. After the year, she was sent to the Salvatore school. She was behind in school when she got there so she is a junior.
