Ch. 22: ASSEMBLE!

Normal POV

Celeste was carried by Spiderman. She held onto him as they went through the air. Loki watched from below and was a bit jealous. He found out that this Spiderman was her partner in fighting crime. People thought they were like lovers and it ticked him off. "Can we trust this...Spider guy?", Leo asked. "I hope so. If he lays a hand on my Celeste then I will kill him", Loki growled. Leo was shocked and knew Loki wasnt serious, but felt like he may be. "You alright?", Spiderman asked Celeste. "Yeah..im feeling better, Im just tired. Its late and I just wanna go home and watch TV", Celeste laughed. "Same, Im tired too, I need to get rest", he said. "So after all this..what will you do?", Spiderman asked. "I..Im still your partner if your asking that", Celeste said. "No..I mean..as in your real life". Celeste was shocked and said they shouldnt be talking about those things and they musnt know who one of another are. "But I do know you...Celeste". Celestes eyes widened as he said that. They stopped on a building and she asked how he knew. "I know you Celeste. Your superhero persona isnt different from how you really are. Its a big give away", Spiderman laughed. "Wait..if you know me..then who are you?", Celeste asked. Spiderman lifted his mask and Celeste's eyes widened as she saw her best friend Peter Parker.

"P..Peter?". He smiled and looked down. "Yeah I know..big dissapointment", he said. Celeste couldnt believe it. Her best friend was her sidekick! He was different as Spiderman and had no idea. Celeste hugged Peter and he hugged her back. "Im happy you know..im happy you are Spiderman. You helped me and I helped you. I know that you have my back and I have yours". Peter smiled and Celeste knew they had to keep up with everyone. Peter put his mask back on and carried Celeste off.

"They are here", Coulsin said. The doors opened and everyone walked inside. They escorted Veronica inside and they waited for someone to order them. "Seems like we have some visitors", Maria Hill said as she saw Celeste and her friends. "They are here to be investigated to see if they are truly what they say", Nick Fury said as he walked over to her.

They were on the balcony and they looked down at the people. "So what are we doing here? Whats the purpose?", Thor asked. "I dont know, just tell the truth and you wont be shot at", Celeste said. This suddenly made everyone uneasy and Celeste giggled. Nick walked down to everyone and Maria followed. "So..you are the famous Red Flame?", Nick smiled. Everyone was confused and then realized Celeste was in a costume. "Yes..im her", Celeste said. Nick looked over at Peter and asked if he was Spiderman. "Yes sir, Red Flame and i are a hero duo". "Lovely and i know that. Its my job to know if there are any weird things happening and I stop them. Its my job to know if anything big as in alien activity or strange people with superhero abilities are on Earth". Nick glared at Veronica and then asked who this Anthony was. "How did you know?", Spiderman asked. "Im the leader of S.H.E.I.L.D and its my job to know everything. I see and hear everything. So tell me who this psycho is!", Nick demanded. Veronica looked down and then told him. Thor and Crystal heard her story and knew that if Anthony wanted Celeste then they cant let him.

*BOOM* *CLASH* The room was in shock as they heard a loud bang from outside. "What is that?", Leonardo asked. Suddenly its was heard again and a large metal rod was stabbed into the cieling. Everyone screamed and moved out of the way. "He found us", Veronica said scared. Thor and Crystal were shocked and told Celeste to hide. "No, im not leaving you guys", she said. "Everyone get security around the area. Do what you have to, just stop the person doing this!", Fury demanded. Agents began running outside to stop any further destruction. "Celeste he wants you, so please let us protect you", Loki said. Celeste said no and Loki got mad. "Please, for us..stay alive. Dont kill yourself off so soon", Loki begged. Celeste didnt want to listen. She knew how much they cared for her. Although she didnt listen. Being a hero was who she was. She wanted to save everyone on her own. Even if she couldnt pull it off, she had faith. The cieling broke in and Celeste quickly put up a force field, keeping objects from hitting any of them and the agents. "Holy..crap", Coulsin said. "Fine..if she is gonna put her life on the line, I may as well too", Crystal said as she flew out of the building to fight her brother. "Crystal no!", Thor yelled, following her out. Celeste was still weak and was tired. She had help from Spiderman as he wrapped his webs around the broken objects and moved them away from everyone. "Thank you", Celeste smiled. Peter smiled and put his hand on her shoulder. "Happy to help "buddy". Loki glared and got jealous again. He went up to Spiderman and told him to help fight outside. "Sure thing", he said. Leo was left with Celeste and Veronica. Veronica knew if she left, Anthony would find her. "Take her to safety", Nick said. Celeste's eyes widened as agents grabbed her by the arms. "No..please let me help!", Celeste said. "Im sorry, but if Anothony wants you, he has to kill us first", Nick said. Celeste's eyes widened as people showed up.

A woman in all black and red hair, a boy with a bow, another man in red, white, and blue, weilding a shield, and lastly...Ironman. "Whatever you do, keep the guy from getting his hands on her", Nick said. "Will do", Tony said. "Got it", Black Widow and Hawkeye said. "Lets go!", Captain America yelled. The team ran out to the fight and Maria escorted Celeste and Veronica to a safe place, while Leo went out to fight. He had to put his trust in S.H.E.I.L.D and knew Celeste would be alright.

Nick Fury had assembled a group of remarkable people. He meant to use them to protect the world. He didnt care who or where they came from, as long as they protected the world. He had thought to name this group the Avengers.
