Ch. 3: The Heart of a Bully

Normal POV

Celeste realized how much fun she had with Peter. They had so much in common that it wasnt even funny. They loved rock music and classic movies. They basically had a marathon of watching Sixteen Candles, the Breakfast Club, and Weird Science. But Peter's aunt and uncle came home and she had to leave. Celeste was at home and decided to shower. She got naked and started the bath. She felt for the water and as she waited, a loud knock was heard from the bathroom door. She jumped and grabbed her robe, to check on it. She opened the door and her eyes widened as she realized who it was.

"Loki!". Loki smiled as he saw her. "Hello deary", he said. Celeste hugged him, but knew it was only a hologram. She asked what he was doing here. "I came to see you. Also..Im worried about you", he said. "Worried? What for?", she asked. "I saw...you were bullied by those..human trash! They hit you", Loki said, touching her face. Celeste blushed as he touched her and she looked down. "I took care of it you know. Im strong now", she said. "I know..its just...you have..a bruise!?". Loki got mad and had the look of murder in his eyes.  "Loki..calm down. Its no big deal". "No big deal? He slapped you so hard. You were unprotected!". Celeste sighed and grabbed his hands, but her hands went through him. "I let it happen. I couldnt do much anyways but use words. I'd be suspended and if I used any kind of violence or my powers, I could be sold to science". Loki looked down and sighed. "Yeah, your right. Sorry...". Celeste tried to hug Loki and he tried to her. "Uh..by the way...I also came to tell you that your parents are getting married", Loki said. Celeste's eyes widened and she got very excited. "This is great! When is it?". "Its before next month, more like..in two and a half weeks", Loki said. Celeste felt excited and said she would definitly be there. "Good, dont be late. Because im expecting my lovely date to be there". Celeste blushed and realized he had to go. "You should head back". "Okay, I'll be waiting", Loki said. "Alright". "I will be the one in green, you better match!". "I'll try, now go!". Loki nodded and just before he left, he tried kissing her lips. They couldnt, but it was worth a try. Loki then vanished and she shut the bathroom door. Celeste smiled and leaned against the door. She couldnt wait to feel his lips for real again. She then took her robe off and started taking a shower. She began thinking of the wedding and couldnt wait to attend. She had been so excited.

~The Next Day~

Celeste had remembered yesterday and knew how big of a deal it would be with Lilith and Thomas. Celeste walked to school with Peter and they talked about hanging out after school to watch movies. Celeste agreed and said they could watch tremors. "I love kevin bacon, he is the best actor", Peter said. "If you like, I have animal house, we can watch that after", Celeste said. Peter lit up in excitement. "Yes!". Celeste laughed. She felt like Peter was so cute. He was like a child in a candy store. The two got to school and when they did, they were confronted by Sam and he asked if Celeste could talk.

She was confused, the look of him was scary. His face looked saggy, like he had been tired. His eyes were red from crying and he...smelt. "Uhm...sure". "Did you come to harrass us?", Peter asked. "No..I came to...". Sam was silent for a minute and he looked up at Celeste. "I wanted to apologize to you", he said. As he said that, Celeste was shocked. She didnt expect that. "For all those years...I was only doing what Lilith said. I had to", he said. Celeste knew in the bottom of his heart, he was being truthful. "Why did you have to listen to her? She cannot own you", Peter said. "You dont know what its like alright? She..she used me a lot. She made me her boyfriend, and cheated on me because she was bored. I didnt say anything, but when I found out that I loved her, I told her to clean her act up or we were done. So when she befriended Thomas, I was suspicious. I knew they wouldnt, but I caught them kissing. I blew up and almost...killed...him". Peter and Celeste were shocked. Kill? Wow..Sam didnt seem like the type to do so. "That isnt even the worst part. I found out...Lilith had been pregnant with MY child and didnt want to keep it. She did it all without my say. She killed it! She shreaded everything for me. I just had to forgive her and let her way go on. I hated myself for hurting you, she hated you ever since elementary. I dont know why, but...I wish she would grow up. She has run the school and everyones lives because her attitude. I just hope she gets what she deserves", Sam finished. Celeste was speechless. She never knew Lilith got pregnant. She understood Sam and instantly hugged him. He and Peter were shocked.

"You dont need to hold it in you know. You can let it go. If you need to cry, go ahead. It doesnt matter if people see. When you put your feelings out there, that is all that matters. Because showing how much you are hurting, others will help you, like I am. You dont need to be alone. Now that you are no longer with your friends and that, you can only count on a true person to care for you. So dont loose faith and hope. You are better than what you really think. You just dont know it yet". Sam began crying and Peter kind of teared up from the speech. "Thank you..Celeste", Sam said. Celeste nodded and they parted. "Well..I better get to class", he sniffed. "Alright, do what you have to", Celeste said. Sam smiled and said, "You know...you are such a great person". Celeste smiled and said the same to him. He smiled and headed to the doors. "That was heroic of you, you know that right?", Peter said. "Yeah, I know. But im no hero. I would be if I could save Lilith", Celeste joked. "Now that would be a miracle", Peter laughed. The two began walking to the doors and they were seen by Lilith and Thomas. They were about to jump them, when the principal stopped Celeste. "Miss Crucious, I like to talk to you in my office". Celeste was shocked but said alright. "Go on ahead", she told Peter. "Alright, just dont be late", he said. She nodded and went inside with the principal to his office. When they go there, the principal decided to apologize. "What would you need to apologize for Sir?", Celeste asked. "Because I was given this video", he said, playing it. Celeste saw Thomas and Sam trying to hurt her and Peter. Then Lilith showed up and hurt her. "I never trusted you yesterday when you said that the drugs were not yours. It turns out that the whole team uses them. They originally belong to the coach". Celeste was shocked and didnt know what to say. "It seems that you've been bullied before, the student who sent it to me said this had been going on for years?", the principal asked. Celeste knew she had to be truthful. "Yes sir, since elementary". The principal was shocked and he asked why she didnt stop it. "Because I was only weak before. Now..im willing to stop it. In the last three months, I learned im much more than who i was. So..Lilith cant hurt me anymore". The principal smiled and asked me if thats why I dropped out of school for three months. Celeste lied and said, "she bullied me so badly that she even threatened my own life. So i had no choice but to leave". The principal looked concerned. "Then why did you come back?", he said. "Like I said, I found my true calling and knew I must finish school. I had to do it for myself". The principal smiled and then he said he would do what he could to punish the two for what they did. "Um..sir two?". "Yes, it was Sam who sent the video. He asked for it from another student. He agreed to his bullying and is willing to work it off". Celeste was amazed. Sam sold out his old friends for her? "You are such a wonderful student you know that? If I knew of you being bullied sooner, then things would be better at this school", the principal said. "Its never too late Sir", Celeste said as she left his office.
