Everything has a price

Jonghyun's heart broke into thousand pieces as tears fell down Kibum's cheek. Key's gorgeous eyes were now red, and filled with salty tears. Jjong could see how the other boy shivered, biting his cherry lips.

After a short but unbearable silence that seemed to go on forever, Kibum finally spoke in a broken voice.

"Was it all a lie?--- Did you want to win a bet so badly that you were ready to tug at my heartstrings?--- Or Am I just too unimportant for you that you didn't even care how I feel? Have you ever cared about me, Kim Jonghyun?'

Kibum's questions stopped Jonghyun's breathing. Was that really what the other boy thought? Did he really think that Jonghyun had lied the whole time? Did he really think he meant nothing to Jonghyun?

"A toy to play with, is that what I am to you?" Kibum wrapped his arms around himself as if he was trying to protect himself from Jonghyun. He looked so fragile and vulnerable at that moment.

No, this wasn't supposed to happen. Key wasn't supposed to be hurt. Jonghyun never thought that everything would go this far. He wanted to apologize. He wanted to tell Key not to cry. He wanted to tell him the truth, that he just lied to the other boy to make his older brother stay with him because he couldn't handle the loneliness if Onew left. Having to E-mail his parents is bad enough; he didn't want to have a brother in a far way land too. However, he was neither able to move nor say anything. He just stood there, frozen, watching his Kibum cry his heart out.

"This is the final boarding call for passenger Lee Jinki booked on flight 542A to ----"

The sudden boarding announcement caused Jonghyun to widen his eyes in shock. Why didn't he notice they were at the airport? No, more importantly; Why are they at the airport? Jjong immediately turned around to find a sad looking Onew with a suitcase in his hand.

"You messed up again, my little JjongJjong. I'm so disappointed in you." With that, Onew left Jonghyun standing there and walked toward the gate to catch his flight. He didn't even bother to look back at his little brother one more time.

"No hyung, please don't leave!" Jonghyun called after Onew. He was about to run after the older boy, but he was stopped by a familiar voice.

"How could you do this to me Jjong?" Key was standing there, still crying silently. Then he took a step back and started to run in the opposite direction.

"Bummie! Wait!. Let me explain." He ran after Kibum, but stopped one more time after a few steps. He remembered something. Onew, his brother.

"Hyung." He murmured, and turned his head in Onew's direction and then looked back at Key. They both were getting farther from him, little by little. He could hear his heart beat louder and louder. His hands were shaking. Everything was spinning. He closed his eyes for a second, taking a deep breath. Then he shouted as loud as he could and ran as fast as he could ---- in Onew's direction.

"Hyung, don't go!"

However, no matter how hard he tried, he wasn't able to catch up to his brother. His legs felt heavy, and the faster he ran, the longer the distance between them got. Then everything started to spin around again.
