As I wake up I smell something delicious; which causes my stomach to growl. I follow the scent in the kitchen behind the couch and see Nicholas cooking something on the stove. "You got the stove to work?" I ask, startling him.

"Yeah, I am very handy besides the electrical stuff still works. Here, have some food. Fredrick went into town and got us the food." He hands me a plate with noodles and sauce on it. "It's spaghetti." He says bringing his plate into the living room.

"I know what it is. Just I have never had any food." I say sitting beside him and take my first bite. The taste is incredible; the food just melts in my mouth and I cannot believe how good this is.

"How is it?" Nicholas asks, raising his eyebrow and smiling.

"It is so good."

"See being a human isn't so bad."

"Yes, it is." I say, sighing. "I now have no control over my emotions and feelings is a weakness. That is what gets you killed. As a demon, we control who we are angry at, who we are in love with, and if we feel sad."

"In some cases, feelings can get you killed but in plenty of cases it makes you stronger." Nicholas may be right about feelings but when someone goes so long without feeling anything then it may ben hard when they don't have a choice.

Finishing up our food Nicholas heads upstairs to change his clothes and left his bag down for me to choose my clothes. As I set the bag on the couch I decide to wear a long sleeve t-shirt with black sweatpants. I then notice something shiny on the floor; a gold necklace that had the name Williams engraved on the pendant. It is round and can be opened, slowly opening the pendant, I see a picture of a little boy with brown hair, blue eyes, wearing a plaid shirt; he is smiling while holding a baby girl wrapped in a light pink blanket.

"That's me and my sister." Nicholas says, coming from downstairs, causing me to jump.

"I'm sorry. It fell out the bag." I hand him the necklace, but he pushes my hand back.

"It's fine, it was my parents and they gave it to me to hold onto so that I could give it to my sister when she was a few years older. Can you hold onto it for a while, for safe keeping right now?" I nod but I can only assume he wanted me to keep it so that he didn't have to keep the memory of his sister. I put the necklace on but hide it underneath my shirt. "Well, I am tired, so I am going to sleep. I think you should try to sleep, you still look tired."

"Well thanks," I say smiling. "I do feel terrible though." I slouch back down on the couch after Nicholas takes his bag.

"Were you injured a lot as a demon?" He asks, looking at me, cautiously.

"Yeah, so many times that I can barely remember the reason for why I was injured." I bawl up into a ball on the couch and slowly close my eyes. "I just want sleep." I managed to breathe out before finally drifting off to sleep.

As I start to wake up I turn on my side putting my hand down the couch, touching the floor; instead my hand lands on a shoulder. Nicholas jerks to the side and wakes up, "Woah, you scared me."

"Sorry, I didn't know you were down there." I wipe myeyes and sit up bringing my knees to my chest. Nicholas gets up and sits beside me, "Yeah, I figured we should be in the same room just in case anybody was to attack."

"Do you know what the plan is?" I ask, pulling my hair back and then letting it fall.

"I don't know honestly. We can't stay here though; the bunker was our safe house until we figure out everything."

"I'm sorry about your bunker, by the way. Do you know anything about the war?"

"I have this hunch that it isn't about God and Lucifer having a conflict."

I raise my eyebrow, "What do you mean? Angels and demons decided to go to war against God's and Lucifer's wishes?"

Nicholas gets up and picks up his duffel bag; digging through to the bottom and brings out some papers. "They are not fighting against each other they are fighting together." All my years as Lucifer's lieutenant I have never had dealings with an angel so neither could any other demon. I take the papers and look through them to see a picture of a demone and an angel shaking hands.

"Nicholas, this isn't proving anything." I say looking back down at the papers. He also starts to look through the papers and hands one of them to me. "Read this." He says.

I look forward at the paper and it is a bible verse from Ephesians 6:12. "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood." I begin saying, looking up at Nicholas and continue to say the verse without looking at the paper. "But against the ruler, against the authroity, against the cosmic powers ove this present darkness."

"Against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places." Nicholas finishes the verse. "See, what I think it is; is the angels and demons are overthrowing Lucifer and possibly God." I cannot believe what I am hearing; the creations always seemed so loyal.

"How do I tie into this then?" I ask with a confused look. He only shrugs his shoulders and I continue to read the paers. Everything's quiet as I read until a body is slung through the window landing on top of the coffee table that ends up breaking. Nicholas and I quickly gets up from the couch and approach the body to realize that it is Fredrick. "We have a problem."
