Blood. Blood everywhere. I have a knife in my bloody hands. "Sister, please! Stop!" Fredrick begs on his knees. His face has bruises and cuts. Jake is lying on the ground with a knife wound. Dead. I cannot controll my body, I try to stop from raising the knife, but it's too late, I slit Fredrick's throat. I die a little on the inside.
"Violet!" Nicholas runs up behind me. "Stop. You can fight this; you're strong." I want to stop as I look at his face full of hurt, full of injuries, tears stream down his face. My heart is breaking even more. I raise my hand to his chest and a burst of light goes through him making him scream in agony. He drops to the floor; motionless.
I shoot up crying and Nicholas's hands fall to the side. I check Nicholas, Jake, and Fred; they are still sleeping. I stand up and raise myself on top of the ledge; looking down, thinking about what if I end everything right now. I might go to Hell or Heaven and since I am part human I might only be jailed and have a chance to kill Beleth. I close my eyes, thinking about it even more, I didn't even realize that my foot is already halfway out.
Someone suddenly pulls me back, "What the hell are you doing?" Nicholas asks, furiously.
"Nicholas..." I begin to try to explain but I am speechless. "I don't want to hurt you or my brothers. I am a ticking bomb that can go off any minute, because none of us are the ones with the trigger, and I can't stop it. The dreams seem so real." I cry out, putting my hands on my head as the images of their motionless corpses flash through my head.
His face softens. "They only way you can hurt me is if you leave me."
"You said you would die to protect me. I am willing to spend my life in Hell fighting Beleth to keep you safe." I say strongly.
Jake and Fredrick wake up at the same time due to the noise. The sun's starting to rise, and I can see them walk over through the orange shade. "What is going on?" Jake asks, shaking his head along with his hair.
"I tried to go to Hell to kill Beleth." I say quietly, crossing my arms. There is nothing but silence for a few seconds and I feel guilty for trying to leave them but it is for their safety.
"That's a good plan." Fredrick excalims, surprisingly, and we all stare at him. "I am not happy that you tried but she can be the diversion while we lead the Rebels to come from behind the attack."
"That could work." Jake says, thinking it through and I know what they are talking about and it will be risky, but it will work.
I eye Nicholas to see what he thinks about this, "I'm in but I just want to know how Violet and I are going to get into Hell?" He asks.
I take a deep breath, "You're not." I say sternly.
"What? No! I want to there to help you." He pleads, grabbing my hand.
"Nicholas, you are going to be there to help me. Fredrick's plan involves you being by side with a witch."
Nicholas looks at us confused, "Okay, I am lost now what is the plan?"
"You will hear it during training." I say smiling and we start to leave the building as I keep Nicholas's hand in mine.
After changing into more training clothes everyone gathered back at the Great Hall. "In two days, we will take our first war to Hell," The people start to mumble. "But we have devised a plan to catch them off guard. Your trainer will explain everything." I finish saying and they all disperse, except Jake, Nicholas, and Fredrick.
"I will choose the witch; I have somebody in mind. Jake, Fredrick, can one of you go to Alastor's training room and explain to them and him?" They nod and we go into our groups.
