Chapter Nine

I sprint towards Jake, he is stumbling and falling to the ground, "Jake!" I yell to let him know that I am here. I feel relieved that he is here alive, I don't care how he got here but at lease he's here. Finally, I apprach him, I slide on my knees as he falls to the ground, covered with bloosed, bruises and cuts. I hold his face up and he looks exhausted, "Violet." He says slowly and softly. "Don't..."

He doesn't finish his sentence because I am picked up by my waist; I am kicking and trying to twist out of their grip, but I can't. "Violet!" I hear Fredrick and Nicholas yell.

"Violet, relax it's me." The person whispers in my ear and my face turns stern hearing his voice.

"Alastor," I recall and snatch out of his grip, turning around to see that he looks the same since the last I saw him. "What are you doing here?" 

"I told you I was going to take care of your brother and I finally had the chance to break him out." He looks at me as if it is the first time seeing me, but I roll my eyes and go back to Jake.

Jake puts his hand on my shoulder, "Don't worry, he is on our side." Jake says, finally finishing his sentence from earlier. I help lift Jake up putting his arm over my shoulders, then Fredrick runs up, analyzing Jake and helps him heal faster.

"Jake, um, Fredrick..." I trail off not knowing what to say. "Uh, Fredrick is our brother, apparently." I finish slowly.

"I told him everything about you three being siblings." Jake stands up on his own, but I stare at Alastor in shock.

"So, it is true, and you knew? For how long?" I grit through my teeth. 

"Your father told me when we were engaged, I wanted to tell you, but he told me to stay quiet." 

"That is it!" I say loudly. "We are going to a hotel and somebody is going to explain to me why and how me and my brothers got separated, and what the hell I am supposed to do about being a nuclear weapon?" I then walk off angrily to the van with the others following.

Nicholas is in the drivers seat with me in the passenger seat, Jake sits in middle seat in the back, while Fredrick and Alastor sit at the very back.

"I know you brought Jake back hoping that she will fall in love with you, but it's not going to work. She hates you with passion." Fredrick says keeping a straight face. I can't believe that Fredrick is so protective over me; even though I hate Alastor being here, I am happy that I have a family that cares about me.

We reach the hotel and rented a room for the night. Our room has two bedrooms straight ahead once entering the room and a bathroom in each room. A couch is to the left against the wall with a TV hanging to the right.

"Okay, all of you sit down and I'll tell you everything." Alastor says sighing. Nicholas leans agains the door while Jake, Fredrick, and I sit down with me in the middle. "So, when your parents were still together, and Fredrick was already born they were happy, but they soon begin to fight because Beleth was wanting to send an army to heaven."

"Lucifer wanted to keep peace but your mother, Evelyn, wanted power. They finally agreed on night sending an army and a year later Jake was born, and the year after that Violet was born. Your father cared about you all. When Violet was seven months, Beleth saw a chance to weaken Lucifer; he kidnapped her and had demons keep her." That is when I remember Elliot saying that he knew me. "Lucifer sent a whole search party but couldn't find you. Evelyn went out on her own mission and was successful. She found Violet but Beleth had been testing on her using a lot of demon blood and some dangerous chemicals."

"Evelyn was devastated and thought Violet was going to be a complete monster that would destroy the peace of things, so she took Jake and left, for her own safety. Fredrick was about three and she knew that he would still remember so she left him with Lucifer." My body begins to tremble, everything I heard is unbelievable; I feel pissed. Without saying anything I walk into the bedroom and shut the door hard. I was kidnapped, tested on, and my mother thought I was a monster and probably still thinks that I am one.

Alastor comes in slowly, "Get out." I say sitting on the bed.

"No, you shut yourself out too much." He closes the door. "It may cause you to be what Beleth wants you to be."

I look up at him with tears falling down my face, "What are you talking about?"

"If you keep holding your emotions in, it may cause you to be the monster he wants. That is why I joined Beleth, I needed to find you and protect you." 

"If you truly love me then you would have never betrayed me." He puts his hand on his head and sits down beside me. "You cheated on me, I lost so much, I even told you that should start a new life on Earth, but you left me stranded."

"I know." He sighs. "I had to do that because your father told me to. I think he thought you would be safer on Earth." 

"Yeah, well he could have told me, or you could have told me. I was your fiance and you lied to me several times; my father shouldn't have had to tell you what to do when it came to our relationship. You decided not to tell me."

"I know, and I am truly sorry, but he didn't tell you because he was scared that you might be disappointed in him because he couldn't save you. You being lieutenant was the closest thing he thought he could get."

"What are we supposed to do then?" I ask, putting my hands up then letting them fall in my lap. He looks up at me and for the first time in forever he doesn't have a plan. Alastor stood up and kissed me on my dimple, "Alastor." I say slowly; he backs up. "We need to talk about us."

"Ok."

"There are still some feelings for you, but I don't think I want us back. You have betrayed me, and I don't think I can forgive that."

"I understand. I really love you, but I can feel your heart is somewhere else. I am sorry that I messed up our relationship." Then he walks out the door leaving there to cry alone.

Nicholas drove to the store and picks me and him up some clothes. I took a shower and changed into a long-sleeve orange shirt and black sweatpants. "Violet doesn't have powers, so she can't be turned super evil, right?" I hear Jake say outside my door.

"She has inner powers that will cause her to be that way." An idea then popped in my head.

"What if I set up a meeting with Beleth and bring out my inner powers to kill him?" I ask coming out my room.

"No!" Fredrick and Jake say in unison, then Fredrick says, "It's too dangerous."

"Violet, you may not be able to control that inner power after killing Beleth." Nicholas says coming out the other room with a black t-shirt and jeans on.

"Well we have to do something." I say, looking at everybody.

"Yeah, we go to the Academy and get them to fight with us." Jake suggests.

"We have finally reunited, and I am not about to lose you two again, so we are going to play it safe." Fredrick says, acting as a big brother; even though I haven't known them for a long time. I feel like my family never left me.
