Chapter 5

The morning sun lit up and Himeko groaned slightly as she was awoken by her alarm. Pucchi barked and jumped on Himeko licking her face
"H-hey Pucchi. I'm up already okay?" Himeko said as she sat up. She yawned stretching her arms out. She petted Pucchi softly and got out of bed. She walked to the bathroom and started to get ready for school
Hopefully today that stupid delinquent doesn't get into trouble again. Oh well at least I get to be with Meimei!
Himeko smiled thinking about Mei and walked out of the bathroom. She grabbed her outfit and started putting her outfit on. She walked out of the room with Pucchi and headed downstairs
"Morning mother" Himeko said as she walked pass her in the kitchen
"Morning Himeko" Celeste said as she prepared her bento. Himeko grabbed the dog food for Pucchi and filled the bowl up with food
"There you go Pucchi" Himeko said as she smiled and petted Pucchi's head softly. Pucchi barked happily and licked her hand then started eating
"I heard there is a new student transfering. Is that true?" Celeste asked
"Heh yeah. I just hope this one doesn't give us trouble" Himeko said
"Well I hope everything turns out well for you today. Have a good day" Celeste said and handed her bento
"Thanks mother" Himeko said and took the bento. She walked to the couch taking her bag that was already prepared and walked out of the house. She headed to the spot where she usually waited for Mei but this time Mei didn't come along. Yuzu was walking down the sidewalk while Mei ended up going with Sara to hang with her for a while. Yuzu seemed slightly upset but tried to smile
"Oh morning Momokino-san" Yuzu said and smiled
"E-eh?! You!? Where's Meimei?" Himeko asked and looked around
"With her girlfriend..." Yuzu mumbled as she looked down
"Huh? G-girlfriend?" Himeko asked
"Yes..." Yuzu said a bit harshly and walked pass Himeko. Himeko just looked down for a moment and followed Yuzu
"Hey! Wait up! We still need to talk about Mei" Himeko said
"There is no need to talk about her. Mei has a girlfriend and that's it okay?" Yuzu said
"U-uhm...well how did this happen though? Was it after the trip the girl she was hanging out with?" Himeko asked
"Yes..." Yuzu said
"I-I see..." Himeko said as she looked down for a moment then looked back at Yuzu
"And...how do you feel about that?" Himeko asked
"...how I feel? Well...I guess I'm happy for her. She has finally found someone who can make her happy and take care of her..." Yuzu said
"You say you're happy but...you don't look like it" Himeko said
"Just shut up. I'm not in the mood for talking about this..." Yuzu said. Himeko looked at her and sighed
She's definitely not happy about that...what is up with her?
Himeko was about go speak not until they arrived and people started surrounding the entrance for the Academy
"Huh? What's going on?" Yuzu asked
"I don't know either" Himeko said
"Hey Yuzucchi!" Harumin said and walked up to her
"Hey Harumin. Do you know what's going on?" Yuzu asked
"Not at all and where's the Prez? Isn't she suppose to be here?" Harumin asked
"She's with someone right now" Yuzu said a bit harshly and walked to the Academy. Himeko and Harumin looked at each other and shrugged not knowing what was wrong with Yuzu
"What on earth is going on here?" Mei asked as she walked up to them
"Oh h-hey Prez" Harumin said
"Meimei! Morning!" Himeko said
"Morning Himeko and Taniguchi-san. Where's Yuzu?" Mei asked
"Oh Yuzu aent inside I think" Harumin said
"And what's up with the crowd?" Mei asked
"I have no clue" Himeko said. Mei and the others walked up to the crowd trying to find out what was going on. Mei saw her grandfather speaking with an older woman and beside her stood a white haired girl with crystal blue eyes
Is this girl...the girl Yuzu was so excited to see? She doesn't look even that good...wait why am I thinking like that?
"Shai!" Yuzu exclaimed and pushed the girls aside. Shai lifted her head up and soothed a blonde hair girl with bright emerald eyes
Yuzu! That's her!
"Y-yuzu!" Shai said and ran up to her. Yuzu wrapped her arms around Shai and Shai hugged her back
"Haha! It's so great to see you again!" Shai said
"Yeah! It's been so long! You've grown so much" Yuzu said and patted her head softly. Shai just smiled and looked at her hair
"Hehe you look just like your father" Shai said
"Heh you look like your father as well" Yuzu said
"Hm? Mind showing me around?" Shai asked
"Of course. Follow me" Yuzu said and held Shai's hand taking her inside the Academy. All the girls gasped and started mumbling a few things not believing that someone like Yuzu had that close friendship with a Higashi. Even Mei was stunned and surprised
"Hehe it seems Yuzucchi is quite popular" Harumin said
"How can that delinquent actually know a Higashi?" Himeko asked
"I have no clue. I guess I'll find out. See ya Prez and Vice Prez" Harumin said and walked to the Academy. Himeko sighed and looked at Mei noticing her expression
"President? Is everything okay?" Himeko asked
"Huh? O-oh yes. I am. Sorry about that" Mei said and walked to the Academy. All the students walked inside the Academy while whispering a few things that Mei overheard
"How does Aihara-san know her?"
"I have no clue"
"Can you believe it? They're friends"
"They must know each other when they were little"
"I think they're secretly dating"
"No way. Are you serious?"
"Could they be dating?"
"How?"
Mei just gritted her teeth and clenched her fists tightly
Dating? No way...they are not dating
