Nine thirty.

He was officially two hours late.

God I look like such an idiot.

I glanced around the room, noticing the small amount of people who were left in the restaurant. One couple in particular were in their mid thirties, it would appear, and had been here since just after I had arrived. When I looked over at them, they were already looking at me with sympathetic expressions.

I lowered my gaze quickly, blinking away the tears that clouded my eyes. This was the second time in a week this had happened. Just three days ago we had planned to go for a meal and it was the same scenario, except he had remembered about an hour into me waiting and apologised multiple times when he had called to try and excuse himself.

Me being me, I had forgiven him as soon as I saw him, for some reason I couldn't help it. He had pleaded with me that we reschedule the date to tonight, but now it would appear he has forgotten once again.

Things like this had been happening a lot recently, Rye forgetting plans and not being around much anymore. I never took it to heart at first, but now it was hard to ignore.

"Miss? I'm sorry but I need you to order something, other wise we'll have to ask you to leave." I looked up to see a waitress looking down at me with a pitiful gaze and I glanced around, noticing the different sets of eyes on me.

I quickly slid out of the booth, handing the waitress the money for a drink I had picked up earlier and rushing out of the restaurant as the tears spilled from my eyes. Rushing to brush them away I picked up my phone to see it had died, sighing and beginning to walk back home.

I don't know how long I had been walking, the cold night air had calmed me down slightly but my cheeks were still stained with tears the had been shed. I was oblivious to my surroundings, wrapping my arms around myself in an attempt to keep warm when I heard a familiar voice.

My head shot up and I looked in front of me to see the boys walking around the corner, bright smiles crossing their features. I froze in my place, watching them walk towards me. Rye hadn't noticed yet, his smile still on his face as he told a joke to Brook.

It was Andy who noticed me first, his smile falling and his eyes widening in concern when he stopped.

"Y/N?" He frowned as the group stopped. Rye's head shot towards me and his smile disappeared, face immediately falling.

"Babe, what's wrong? What are you doing here?" He asked, taking a step towards me. I stepped away from him quickly, a flash of hurt crossing his features but I don't think it could compare to what I felt when I realised he didn't have a clue what he had done.

What hurt even more was that Jack knew what had happened before he did.

"Oh crap." Jack muttered and I glanced over to see him looking at me with a sorrowful gaze. I turned back to Rye to see him looking between us.

"What?" He asked before turning back to me, slowly stepping towards me and reaching out to brush a tear away from my face. I gently pushed his hand back down, looking away at the hurt expression he held on his face.

"You still don't remember..." I mumbled, my voice cracking slightly as I choked back more tears. He fell silent, obviously searching his brain for something but the lack of a response gave me the answer I was waiting for.

"I'm going home." I whispered and stepped back cautiously, finally raising my head to meet his concerned gaze.

"I'll walk you..." He offered in a pleading tone but I shook my head in response.

"Please don't." I mumbled and hurried to brush away a tear that had fallen.

"But it's late-..." He started, the concern evident in his tone but Jack was quick to cut in, sensing my discomfort.

"I'll go with you, if that's okay.." Jack offered quietly and I glanced over at him and nodded slowly, seeing a sad smile being offered. Rye glanced back at him, stuttering slightly for words as Jack took a few steps forward, shooting the boy in front of me a look that I couldn't quite read.

"Y/N-..."

"Bye, Ryan." I mumbled and I looked away from him, walking beside Jack down the street.
