Cross Me (Chapter Eight)

Arizona POV *Flashback*

I am officially Arizona Post, I never imagined I would get married, especially to a "celebrity." But god damn it I was lucky to find and fall in love with Austin. "we're ready to have Mr. and Mrs. Post for their first dance." The Dj said and Austin stood up grabbing my hand and walking me to the floor as the lights dimmed. My life is complete in this moment. "I love you sunflower" I smiled up at him. The rest of the night went well and then we were off on our honeymoon.

*Present Day*

Its been three years since me and Austin have been married and life couldn't be better, I still go with him on tour and I still am best friends Ariana. My mom lives in town right down the road from us which I love because when I'm home I always walk down to her house and spend my days off with her. We moved into our new home a week after our honeymoon which was spectacular. We've also been trying for a baby for the past two years but we've yet to conceive and it's been rough.

I know how much he wants a baby and how much I do and every test I take that comes out negative its like another blow to my stomach, we are cruelty on the way to the fertility clinic we are getting IVF and today is the day they put the embryo into my uterus. I've done this once already and it didn't work, I didn't want to do it again, but I want a baby and I want to make Austin happy.

"are you okay baby girl?" Austin asked as he drove out of the driveway. "I just don't want to let you down again." I said trying not to cry. "baby you could never let me down, if this time it fails, we can adopt baby you are my everything you could never let me down." I smiled. After the doctor's appointment, we headed home. we don't get to take a test for a week or two and I honestly am hating the thought of taking it.

I go straight to the bed and lay upside down, I read online that it helps, I'm sure its just an old wives' tale that won't work but I'm willing to try anything at this point. I turned on the Tv and the news was on "in other news, a fertility clinic has been broken into, they aren't sure what they were after, but it was a woman and she may have stolen some specimens we will update you as we learn more." I sat up "Austin." I yelled and he walked into the bedroom.

"watch this," I said rewinding the Tv back to where it showed the clinic we have been using and the girl on the camera she looked familiar it looked like someone I haven't seen in a long time. I name I tried my best to forget about, it looks just like "Carrie." Austin said looking at me and I nodded "It looks like her." I said and he quickly got on his phone calling the police station. He gave the detective the information that we think it was Carrie.

"what if she stole- "I was cut off "I'll call the clinic tomorrow." We were both thinking the same thing, Austin's sperm was at that clinic and if it was Carrie what if she stole his, I know I sound crazy but she's crazy we all know that. "Let's just get some sleep baby and not worry about it too much maybe it wasn't her and someone who just looked like her." I nodded and cuddled up to him. I hope it wasn't her.

The next morning Austin called, and the clinic told him they couldn't tell him anything due to the ongoing investigation and he got pissed which is understandable. I decided to just try and move on and go about my day. I was on my way to get lunch with Ari when my phone rang. "hello?" I answered to an unknown number "Hi this is detective Joey I'm on the case for the break-in at the clinic. We noticed that you were in the clinic yesterday and we believe that your eggs were stolen." I pulled over and dropped my phone.

It was her; she stole my eggs? I don't have any more to harvest, those were all the eggs I had left, if this baby doesn't work this time, I won't get another chance. It was Carrie. I finished the phone call with the detective then called Austin. Before I knew it, he was pulling up behind where I had stopped and was getting out of his car.

"baby come here." he said getting into the other side of the car pulling me into him. "it's her, why did she take my eggs?" I asked crying and he rubbed my back calming me down. "baby they will find her, and everything will be okay, I know she's just trying to get to you and hurt you baby, they will find your eggs and this baby will be born healthy." He said putting his hand on my stomach, we wouldn't know for a week or two, but I was praying it would take.

We finally made it home and I crawled into bed and closed my eyes, I head Austin on the phone "If you cross her, then you cross me. I suggest you get her eggs back to that clinic before I kill you. Don't worry about her and leave her and I alone! It's been years and now you don't get to just pop up and try to ruin our lives again.!"

sorry its been so long, I was sick and have been getting back in the grove, regular updates will be back Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays every week! this book won't have too many more chapters most likely less than 10 chapters left!
