The next morning she was awoken by the clanging of keys as her cell door opened, "rise and shine princess", Robin started, "I've brought you breakfast". He placed a small plate of bread and cheese on to the floor with a mug of water. Rose hurried to the plate, she was starving, she gulped down the water, and ate the food as if she were some animal. If the normal Rose had seen here now, she would be quite horrified with her manners , but she wasn't and Rose hadn't eaten since breakfast yesterday.

Robin laughed at her hurry, "hungry I see", he sniggered, Rose just glared up at him, whilst continuing to eat. "Listen about yesterday, I just wanted to say..." Rose looked up with a mouthful of food, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "I'm sorry about what happened to you" Robin finished, hanging his head low, slightly embarrassed by his apology. Rose lifted his head with a kind smile on her face, "thank you", she smiled.

Robin merely smiled lightly back. He thought "how can she be so light with this?!"  Rose looked so ill, dark circles round her eyes and incredibly pale from the loss of blood. She was covered in, dirt, blood, food and alcohol, Robin could hardly recognise her. Just then Rose cried out in pain and clutched her ankle,

Robin's head snapped to attention and he went over to Rose. "You really should put some ice on that", he said. "Thanks but as you can see, I am in a cell!" Rose huffed, Robin raised his hands in defence. "Alright I'll leave you hear to rot, until my father decides if he wants you dead or not." Robin began to walk away, but Rose called after him, "wait, come back...please", she sounded so fragile, so scared.

Robin stopped, and slowly turned around to face her, "that's better, a little more respect".

"Don't get ahead of yourself", Rose replied. Robin went round the corner and brought a lump of ice wrapped in a cloth. He handed it to her through the bars. "Why are you doing this?" Rose asked. "I don't know, I just feel..." he stopped, like he himself didn't even know why. There was a few minutes of awkward silence, till Robin finally replied, "you know I have to do it, I am a De Noir, my father expects..."

"But you don't have to do what your father says" Rose cut in. "You don't understand, I don't have a choice", Robin added, "everyone has a choice", Rose finished. There was silence, Rose and Robin were staring into each other's eyes, like no one else was there. Robin then broke the silence, "you don't understand, you never could", he huffed before moving away slightly.

"Oh really, you don't think I understand", slight anger had appeared in her eyes, "You princess live in your perfect little world, with your family who loves you, how can you possibly understand", Robin frustratingly asked. "Both my parents died, I was left in the care of my uncle who I had never met, all the while caring for my younger sister!" Rose shouted back, a hint of sadness behind her tone of voice now, "and the past few days have definitely not been the best, as you well know, because you were their participating in making me as miserable as possible, so you can't possibly imagine what I'm feeling right now!" Rose cried and looked down to the floor.

"I'm sorry", Robin finally said, "for that or the kidnapping, the teasing, the grabbing..." Rose went to continue, "hey I got the idea", Robin smirked. It was like Rose was seeing a totally different side to the arrogant toe rag she thought Robin was. Just then they heard laughing from round the corner, it was Robin's crew. Rose felt herself being pulled into Robins firm grasp, as if he had just given her a beating, "that's what you get you little witch!", he called, "yeah give it to her Robin!", they jeered as they turned the corner to witness the scene. Robin threw her to the ground, though not as forceful as he had done in previous meetings, so it didn't hurt. Rose played along with his game, "how dare you!", she cried, before bursting out into fake tears. All his friends laughed and spat at her, before walking off with Robin. He blew her a kiss, "have fun princess", Robin sniggered as he strutted off, his friends all whistling and cat calling.

That night Rose slept rough. The cold, prison floor was hard, and Rose found it impossible to get comfy. Her body ached, and thoughts of her friends and family flooded her mind, "what would they being doing now?", she thought. The scenes played out in her imagination, whilst she rested her head against the stone wall. She began to sing, singing always made her feel better, most of the time.

After the song, her head fell into her knees, how she going to escape this one.
