Link was falling, and he was sure he'd never stop.

Surely this was all a mistake. Zelda couldn't be dead. Not now. Not here.

Link's knees might have hit the floor. Dark Pit could have been interrogating Daisy in the background, growing angrier at each "I don't know" she uttered. Link wasn't paying any attention, and he didn't care. Nothing made sense anymore. Especially the horrid scene on the floor in front of him.

"How could you not know!?" Pittoo growled at the cowering Daisy, who admittedly was sobbing quite a bit, and seemed frightened enough. But, it could be an act. "You were the only person in this room with her," he continued. "To be honest, it's kinda looking like you did this."

Daisy shook her head, attempting to hold back the sobs. "No! No, no! I would never—"

"Tell me what happened, then!"

Daisy took a deep breath to calm herself. "We were sitting here, having a nice chat over tea...and then, she said...she said she had to go to the bathroom..."

"...and?" Pittoo pressed.

The tears were coming back now. "She never came out! I waited and waited, and then, I went to check on her...and...and..." Daisy lost it at that point. She broke down, sinking to the floor.

Pittoo gazed down at her. He wasn't sure if he believed her story or not, but there were more important things to deal with. He turned towards the bathroom, where Link was on the floor next to Zelda's body.

The bedroom door burst open, and Palutena rushed in with Mewtwo, Peach, and Ganondorf in tow. "We heard screaming. What's happened?"

Pitto pointed at the bathroom, where all eyes turned. A moment of shocked silence, and then the barrage of questions came.

Link had finally been dragged away from Zelda by Pittoo, and was taken somewhere else, far from this room of tragedy. Most everyone else, barring Leaf, Lucas, Pit, and Roy, had gathered in Zelda's room.
