I get my beauty-sleep

~flash back/Dream~

I was running through the trees, breathing heavy. This was the third monster this week! I continued through the trees, hearing the pounding of my heart and also large feet.

The sound got closer and closer, until I could feel the vibration of the feet hitting the ground. I quickened my pace, only to trip on a stump I hadn't noticed.

I landed hard on the ground, groaning as I tried to stand up again. Before I could stand I was lifted off the ground by a large hand.

"Hahahaha!" The monster laughed as he brought me to his face. His breath was one of the worst smells I EVER smelt. I wriggled like my life depended on it.{which it did} but his grip was steel.

I screamed for help, punching at the monsters hand.

"Poor little hero." He mocked sympathy,"Too bad you had to be caught, only a few feet from your little camp." He spat, discussed with this 'camp'.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, still punching and kicking.

"Oh don't play dumb, demigod, for I know all about your little camp. It's gross, with all your little friends running around waving swords like they know what their doing. Oh to bad you will never return for I shall have a midnight snack." He smiled at me evilly, leading me to believe I was that very midnight snack.

I saw a flash of light and then what looked like a falling star coming strait for the monster. I watched as it connected with his hair and it erupted in flames.

"Ahh!" The monster yelled patting his hair out, dropping me in the process.

As I fell I watched as the monster turned to where the ball of fire came from. He roared and more fire balls came at him.

"Oof!" I hit the ground, bumping my head on the very stump that tripped me. Everything went black.

~end of dream/flash-back~

I woke to someone shaking me vigorously.

"Five more minuets" I said rolling over, waving them off lazily.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. We have to get out of the van. Come on." Leo said turning me back over facing him.

I sighed. Sitting up I jumped out of the van with one last wave to Gus.

"You are a REALLY heavy sleeper." Leo said. I just shrugged and said,"it's a good thing too, cause I need my beauty sleep." I gestured to my face dramatically, making him giggle.

We walked in silence for a while, leaving us to our own thoughts. I thought back to my dream, which sucked me back into it.
