I want to see black princes
in Disney movies that save
the day.
I want to see black princesses
that don't back down from
the challenges thrown at
their feet.
I want to see all of my soul
siblings of color in castles
that rise to sky, fighting dragons
who terrorize their lands,
cheating gods who try to
trip them up.
I want to be a fairytale.
I deserve to hear stories
of people who look like me
being heroes.
Every child deserves to know
that they can be saviors too.
