Hi everyone!
I've seen a recent uptick in reads on this book and I want to say thank you all for your interest! This was written in 2019 when I was beginning my journey as a poet. I look back on these poems fondly and appreciate that these are what I first started with; however, because it's been three years now, these poems are no longer reflective of my artistic ability. Since that summer of 2019, when this book was completed, I've gone on to participate in a creative writing mentorship program for high schoolers hosted by The Adroit Journal. I've also won an award, a Gold Medal in Poetry from The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards (if you're so inclined, you can check out those poems on their website). Finally, I started college this past fall and am studying English with a Creative Writing Concentration. The poems that won me my Gold Medal were written around 2020-early 2021 and even from then, I've improved drastically. If anyone that loved this is interested, I'm leaning towards writing a new collection, which will be written better and will possibly be longer than this one. Again, thank you all so much for reading this, I truly appreciate it.
Sincerely, Bryan McNeal/Adeto Kunbo.
