Nikolai Lyev Baranov
No one could have told me how amazing it was to see all of them shellshocked by my grand entrance. 'They're speechless,' Lance cackled from inside of me and I couldn't help the smirk that left my face. Look at me now, standing here before you. How does it feel? I felt completely badass, smug and significant. Trace looked at me, lust traveling through his hazel eyes as he took in my suit-clad body. I had my hip cocked out for the extra measure, knowing that he would soak in every detail. How does it feel to know that I am your Asher Metrova?
Zoya looked completely surprised but she smirked, a sign that she respected me and everything that I was worth. Aleksandr was taken aback, most likely wondering how this happened. Most people probably assumed that I wasted my life away in that cottage on the edge of Moscow, but no sir, I did not. Mikhail's face was full of astonishment, regard, adoration, and pride as his mouth hung open, his eyes widened like the rest of them. I could smell confusion and wonder stinking up the room and I chuckled to myself, walking further to the table.
I felt empowered, as I should.
"N-Nikolai?" Mikhail stuttered out, furrowing his brow as he leaned in closer. "At your service," I smirked widely, loving the look on his face. This was compensation for all those years of solitary and I was going to milk it all out. That little scared boy you all saw six years ago, cowering at your feet and begging that you rethink things and let me stay? I don't know him. All I know is this powerful and strong man that is standing before you all today. That is me.
"Mr. Baranov here has worked for me for six years, from the time where I was a programmer, to the time that Emmanuel Zadari gave his role over to me," I could tell that Imani was having fun with this. This was like our moment of truth for us. Let them see the fruits of our labors. "He is excellent at his job. He makes sure that each and every pack here in Moscow coordinate their finances efficiently, inform them of land changes, and constructs the hierarchy so that there is no abuse of power." She pulled out her chair, sitting down as she put a leg over another.
"He may be an omega," She winked at Mikhail, who was completely in awe. "But he does a good damn job otherwise." All were on me and I couldn't help but feel proud at how far I came. I may have been deemed a murderer and ostracized to the dark parts of the world, but I didn't let that get me down. I pushed past and I made a name for myself. Trace just stared at me and I knew he was damn shocked but proud. I sent him a small smile as I took a seat next to her, opening the file that I had brought with me.
I immediately shifted to work mode. All business and no play. "We are here today to discuss the hierarchy within your pack. As you all know, I reached out to Mr. Kedyanin here, regarding the ratio of omegas, male to female," I began, blushing when I realized that their problem was already solved. "Well," Mikhail cut in, mirth in his eyes as he smirked at me. "We've recently got one of our prized omegas back, and it happened to be a male," I realized that I was the male in question and I refused to blush. "As male omegas are a rarity in itself, that means that your ratio has balanced out, so good work on that." I cut my eyes to Trace, who was blatantly undressing me with his heated eyes.
Maybe if he was a good boy, I would let him have a taste.
"The next thing we need to discuss," Imani cut in. "Is the growth of your pack. It's becoming too large to contain the small space that you've been allotted." She said and Mikhail nodded, seemingly having a conclusion for that. I was curious as to what his solution would be. "Well, that's another thing," Mikhail folded his arms, looking more so at me than to Imani. "I'm planning on having the pack relocate to the Americas, particularly Arondale, North Carolina. My mate has an estate set up for us there," My eyes widened as I tilted my head, wondering why he was looked at me so intently like he did. It was a bit of a surprise to me. I didn't know to react. I felt a bit sad. Were they going to leave me behind again?
