Yamis POV (Recap)

Eight years ago, all us yamis abandoned our hikaris due to a rumor spread by Tea that said that Cheza was only trying to kill us... We had no idea why she would do that as she was the one who convinced the Gods to allow us to live again, and it made no sense as to why she would go through all that trouble to bring us back just to kill us, but the reason didn't matter to us as we were hurt by the implication. Afraid for our hikaris, we gave them that stupid ultimatum and they had chosen to side with Cheza. We were confused, and we were about to ask them why, but it was as if someone was twisting our thoughts towards those of betrayal. We suddenly felt so betrayed that we abandoned our hikaris without a second thought. Then they left 7 years ago with only their letters to us explaining what should have been in front of our faces the whole time, they were being hurt. Cheza was the only one, besides Mokuba, who was there for them and they had left to heal from what our actions had caused them to go through. They were gone for 2 years.

We had attempted to find them for the first 6 months, but Mokuba had told us that we wouldn't be able to find them unless they wanted to be found and, since they left to heal, they clearly didn't want to be but that they promised they would be back. So reluctantly, we waited for the day that they would be back so we could apologize to them for being idiots and make it up to them. During our search for them, Tea had gotten frustrated with us looking for our lost lights so much that she had snapped and admitted that she started the rumors that caused us to feel betrayed in the first place. She had left Domino soon after.

Our missing Hikaris had returned 6 years ago, surprising all of us. They all looked more badass and colder than when they left. We had each attempted to use the mind links with them, but it was like hitting a brick wall... Then there was that group of Lycans that had attempted to attack the school, and we had felt so helpless while our lights had immediately jumped into action. They fought those monsters as if they had been doing it their entire lives. After the battle, they had pulled us to the side and let us know how much our actions hurt them and that we would need to earn back their trust. We all understood and worked hard for them to trust us again.

A few months later, we had met Teana, who apparently had no relation to Tea despite looking exactly like her. She was sweet and kind, but despite that, Cheza seemed to hate her instantly... All of us had begged Cheza to get to know Teana, but she had always refused saying that she just had a bad feeling about her and asked us to no longer hang out with Teana. We knew the it was bullshit, so we all had told Cheza that if she couldn't even try to get to know Teana, or give us an actual reason, then we didn't want her around.

After that, we seemed to see Cheza less and less. We had thought that she was just avoiding us since we were always with Teana, but 4 years ago, the Hikaris, Mokuba, and Noah convinced the rest of us to talk to Cheza again and find out the real reason as to why she didnt trust Teana. So we went to her room after school, only to find it empty. I had felt deja vu as, once again, there was a note laid neatly on her bed.

To whomever entered my room,

I am aware that you are either the yamis, hikaris, or Mokuba, so I will address all of you at once. If I know the Hikaris and Mokuba as much as I think I do, then they had convinced the yamis to try to talk to me and that it probably took them a year to do so. I'm sure you all want an explanation as to why I don't trust Teana, but unfortunately, I can't give you that answer as I have promised not to. What I can say, is that an old acquaintance of mine is the reason behind my suspicion of her.

I was content to simply stay out of your way and protect everyone from afar, but that all changed when Yami got engaged to Teana. And while I am happy for you, I can no longer stay and watch you be with her. The reason for that is something only the Hikaris and Mokuba are aware of, but the Hikaris can probably relate to more due to them also being loup garou.

Due to that reason, I have left to gain control of my emotions so I can do my job without distractions. I don't know when I will return, but please don't try to look for me. Just focus on living your lives. If we meet again, then our interactions will be up to you...

Yugi and the other Hikaris answered our questions regarding the letter.

It still surprises me that Cheza knows us so well as to predict our actions on that day down to how long it would take us to read her letter. Yugi and the others had explained to us that whenever Cheza makes a promise, she would be in unbelievable pain if she ever broke it. So they understood that Cheza told us all she could on the subject of Teana. We had asked them what a loup garou was, and they had explained that it simply meant wolf shifter in a really old language. Apparently what Cheza meant about not being able to stay was that her wolf had seen me as her mate and wanted nothing more than to eliminate the "competition." In order to gain control of that part of her, she had to gain complete control over her emotions... something a born loup garou can do, but not Made ones.

Despite Cheza asking us not to and knowing she didn't want to be found, I still looked for her. Let's just say Teana wasn't happy about it. Speaking of Teana, something's off about her. She's always irritated nowadays. It got so bad that she has yelled at everyone at some point. Akefia, Joey, and Malik have gotten so suspicious of her behavior that they have begun following her, trying to figure out what has her so agitated. Seto has even bugged her phone to see who she keeps calling, but no luck so far. As for our engagement, she cancelled it until I "stop looking for someone who hates her."

Two years after we discovered the note, Yugi found out that there was a new singer that called herself Hikari Ookami. She mostly sang sad songs, but we and everyone at school loved her.
Mokubas birthday was coming up and Seto told him that he was gonna have Hikari Ookami come and sing at his party and pay for her to have a concert here in Domino...

The wierd thing is that her manager told him that the concert has to be outside... Apparently she doesn't like singing inside...

The Hikaris love her song Welcome to My Life for some reason... I don't know why, the song is about being left out and alone...

The rest of the Yamis and I still beat ourselves up over the fact that we abandoned our lights, and whenever we hear that song, it just makes us kick ourselves more...

Cheza was the one to help them then, but she left us and we hope she comes back as all of us miss her. The hikaris miss their sister, Mokuba misses his mother, and us yamis miss her advice and smile.
