Cheza's POV

As I'm in my room and gathering all the things that are important to me, I think about all that has happened since the Ceremonial Duel...

I get word that the spirit in my brother's millennium puzzle is actually one of the Nameless Twin Pharaohs. I knew that spirits don't just come back for no reason, and I knew that my brother cared about his spirit friend. So, I did the only thing I could think of: I talked to the gods.

I have a special connection to both of the Egyptian and Greek gods because of the fact that the parents of my soul are the Greek Goddess of the night, Nyx, and the Egyptian sun God, Ra. Plus, I have been blessed by most of the other gods and goddesses.

Anyway, I talked to Anubis and Osiris, since they were the gods of death, and asked them if there was any way for Yami and anyone else to live on earth again if they wish to.

FLASHBACK

"No one has ever left the afterlife to live again!" Osiris stated.

"Please Osiris! I'm not asking as a for sure thing. I don't know if Yami would even want to have his own body. All I'm asking is that IF Yami and a few others wanted to live again, would you allow it?"

"Cheza," Anubis said. I looked at him and into his blood-colored eyes.

"Yes, Anubis?"

"How far are you willing to go so that those mortals get a 2nd chance at life?" Anubis seemed to be looking straight into my chestnut pools, searching.

I felt my eyes change to a dark gold color, showing my determination to do this, as I said, "I will go as far as I have to in order to give Yami and anyone else a choice."

Osiris and Anubis looked at each other, both wearing looks of shock on their faces (I guess they didn't expect me to answer in that way), then they nodded and simultaneously turned back to me.

"Very well, Cheza," Osiris finally stated. "If Yami and anyone else wishes to have a 2nd chance at life, then we will grant it on one condition."

I sighed, even though I knew that I would have to do something for them (they never do something for nothing). "What is your condition?"

Anubis took over this time, "We want you to swear to us that you will protect all the Yamis from harm until we say otherwise. They may make the choice to stay on the mortal plane, but they are still Egyptian and our children. If they are harmed at all, and you fail to protect them, all the ones brought back will immediately return to the afterlife. If that happens, they won't get another chance. Do you agree to these terms?"

"I do."

"Then let us go and give the young pharaohs the good news." Anubis said with a smile.

*END FLASHBACK

As you've already figured out, Yami, Atem, Akefia, and Malik all decided to stay and live their lives on earth. So I've been making sure the Yamis aren't harmed for any reason.

I really was counting on the Yamis to actually do their own jobs and protect their Hikaris, but that didn't happen. Instead, the Yamis listened to the rumors of Teana Mazaki (who they believe is Tea Gardner) and gave the other Hikaris an ultimatum: cut all contact with me, or the Hikaris will be dead to them. Despite me telling the other Hikaris to go with the first option, they all refused and thus started the Yamis abandoning us.

"Mother?" I heard Mokuba ask as he slowly entered my room.

I turned and faced him, "What is it Akuma?"

I started calling him Akuma shortly after he started calling me his mom. At the time I was shocked, I was Seto's sister figure and now I'm Mokuba's mother figure. But I found out that since Mokuba has needed a mother figure, and cuz I acted a bit motherly towards him, he claimed me as his mother. Seto was ok with it, he was even happy that Mokuba was actually getting close to an older female. Mokuba is getting to the age where he is gonna need some female advice, and I apparently give good advice.

"Roland called the school. As far as they know, you guys have some family issues and won't be going to school after tomorrow. The principle has agreed to keep this information to himself until then. So, to avoid the Yamis trying to stop you, I suggest leaving sometime tomorrow after school. Any later, and people will know." Mokuba said with tears in his eyes.

"Come here, sweetheart." I coo to him as I open my arms for a hug. He looks at me for a second, then launches at me and starts to cry, sobbing out how much he will miss us.
" Shhh, 'Kuma, shhh. We will be back. We will miss you too... If we could take you with us, we would. But Kaiba Corp HAS to be run by a Kaiba and, unfortunately, you are the only other living Kaiba. Plus, don't you think you should stay in case Noah wakes up? I know you will be the first one he will want to see."

Ever since the cyber world fiasco, Mokuba has had a crush on Noah. So to help him. I found Noah's body and healed it of all injuries. Almost immediately, his mind was brought back, but he has been in a coma for two months now. But he should be awake any day now.

Mokuba sniffled and looked up at me with a watery smile and a slight blush. "Yeah, I guess you're right. But I'm still gonna miss you all."

"I know, but it won't be forever, and I will call you when we're coming back." I assured him.

"Promise?" He asked holding up his pinkie.

I smiled softly, "Promise." I said as I wrapped my pinkie around his own.  "Now, can you go tell the others? I need to finish packing so I can get dinner ready. I'm cooking tonight." I said with a smile an a wink.

Mokuba giggled and ran out of the room yelling, "Seto, Yugi, Ryo, Marik! Come to my room to hear good news!"

I shook my head affectionately. Im really gonna miss him. I thought, sad that we had to do this, but knowing that it's necessary.

"Cheza," Yugi called as they all walked in. "We were gonna write a small letter to the Yamis. Please don't ask why cuz we don't really know ourselves." They all seemed embarrassed that they wanted to write a goodbye letter to the Yamis.

"Don't be embarrassed." I said as I giggled. "I agree that we should write a letter to them. We may not like their actions right now, but we do still love them. And it is that love for them that tells us to write a letter so they won't worry." I explained.

"Even though they couldn't give two shits about us." Malik grumbled. We all looked at him, sad, because he was right. The Yamis haven't cared about or even spoken to us in three and a half months.

"Let's write our letters soon so that they will be ready by when we leave tomorrow." Yugi says, trying to change the subject to something a little less depressing.

"Yeah," we all said as they left my room to do that.

"By the way, Cheza?" I heard Seto call fro. The doorway.

"Yeah?" I asked, tilting my head, my tail swishing back and forth.

"We are all packed and ready to go at a moment's notice."

I nodded at him, acknowledging that I heard him as I placed the last few items in my bag.

Now, to get that letter done.
