In Ha Eun's deep sleep, she was startled by the loud ringing of her phone. Still half asleep, her hands searched for her phone on her table and as she grasped it, she answered the call without looking at the caller ID. She was pissed that in weekends like this, someone was interrupting her sleep.
'How dare you interrupt my sleep, you stupid, numbskull, disrespectful, nitwit, uncultured swine?' She answered, drowsy and irritated.
'JungBiseo, what did you say?'
'Huijang-nim!'
She was instantly awaken when she hears Jimin's voice from the other line. It was as if, someone whacked her on the face. Mentally face palming herself and cursing at her own stupidity inside her head, she bit her lower lip in embarrassment and fear that Jimin may actually fire her, right her, right now.
'I see that you're still asleep when I called. Did I wake you up?' Jimin sarcastically answered from the other line.
'Ani-imnida. I was awake already. I just took a short nap. I'm sorry about what I had said, huijang-nim,' She answered then soon realizing that it sounded completely stupid.
'Good. Now, I need you to do the contract for the company merging, for our shareholders and business partners from France and Russia. I need them by tomorrow but I need you to email them to me before midnight. Also, the company will be having an annual dinner on the 23rd, so I want you to reserve the venue that I had sent in your email as early as now because it usually fully booked if it's reserved last minute. I need you to settle everything and I want the event to run smoothly. Also, on the 29th is the company's 11th anniversary, I need you to settle that as well on the venue I sent in your email. Lastly, I want a report about the company sales and financial statements. I want them tomorrow but email them before midnight ,' He said.
For once, she nearly wasn't able to catch on everything he had said but agreed to it anyway. Ever since the incident with Areum, she had noticed that Jimin was making her do more unnecessary things.
'Oh, and before I forget, clean up my office tomorrow and organize all my papers, files and books alphabetically. Polish the floors, furnitures. I want them spotless. And I won't be in work tomorrow. Otherwise, pack your things and go, ' He added.
'Huijang-nim, how am I going to give you the reports then?' She asked.
'Drive them to my house by 8AM. That's not hard and don't be late. Oh, and another thing, once you've settled the annual dinner and company anniversary, I want a report on that as well. Detailed. All reports and contracts will be passed tomorrow and emailed tonight,' He replied then hanged up.
'God, this is torture,' She groaned.
'Let's see if she'll be able to juggle up today's tasks,' He cackled evilly and continued his work out.
'That man wants to kill me,' She whined and reluctantly left her bed.
She glanced at her alarm clock that beeped at half past ond in the afternoon. She slept in too much. Gasping in surprise, she sprung up and did her daily routine and rushing out of the house at exactly 2PM.
'Did I lock the door?' She recalled when she was halfway away from her house. 'Ah, jinja. I'm going crazy,'
She ran back and checked the door which she did not lock. At quarter past two, she was by the pavement waiting for the cab she had called. While waiting, she checked her email on the selected venues of Jimin. When the cab arrived, she was driven to her destination which was the venue for the company's annual dinner.
'Okay, Ha Eun, calm down,' She told herself and entered the luxurious place.
While she negotiated with the person in charge, she was texting the financial director, which was Yoongi about the financial statements and the sales monitor department. While waiting for their response, Ha Eun reserved the place for the annual dinner and performed necessary tasks that had to be done. After a long discussion about the food, where Jimin texted that he didn't want vegetables during the dinner and the anniversary party.
Ten minutes to four in the afternoon, she journeyed to her next destination for the company's anniversary. During the ride, Jimin had called again to tell her to fetch three new suits in his favourite suit shop in the city.
'Gosh, he's adding up too many things in my job,' She muttered, in the verge of crying her eyes out. 'Today's suppose to be my rest day,'
Unfortunately, in the middle of her journey, the cab she rode on broke down after being stuck in traffic for almost ten minutes. The engine heated up and that pissed Ha Eun even more. She was still miles away from her destination. Without any chocie, she bolted out of the cab and ran instead. Intial check up of her time was 4.20PM then it was 4.30PM. At quarter to five, she arrived at her destination and began another discussion.
Exactly 6PM, she arrived home, exhausted and carrying Jimin's three newly arrived suits. She sat down on her couch for a few minutes then before she knew it, she was slowly dozing off.
'AH! The reports!' She screamed and sprung up from her seat
She washed her face and made herself a cup of coffee then began her next few tasks. For one hour and a half which seemed to be so impossible that time had flown that fast, she managed to finish the two detailed reports of the occasion she had settled just now. Her next task were the contracts. She was relieved that the financial records that she asked from Yoongi was already mailed except for the company sales she asked for from another colleague. She had received no response.
'God. I guess I need to go there,' She groaned.
She called another cab and while waiting, she packed up her laptop and phone. She did the contracts while waiting for the cab and while she was on the cab itself. At nine in the evening, she was struggling to enter the building after leaving her ID.
'Please, mister. I have to. I have seven reports due before midnight. Please let me in,' She begged.
'I can't let you in without your ID, miss. And no one informed me that someone is coming to work around this time,' The guard replied.
Tears welling up in her eyes, without thinking she called Jimin.
'Done with the tasks I told you to do?' He asked, smirking.
'No, I'm not! The guard won't let me in because I left my ID at home and I didn't receive a response from the sales team for the sales report you asked me to do,' She cried.
Jimin held in his laughter. 'Then not my fault you left your ID. What do you want me to do? Go there and ask the guard to let you in? Tsk, I have better things to do, Secretary Jung,' He said then hanged up.
'Oh, jinja. Ottoke?' She cried.
